I was commercial fishing out of a tiny town in Alaska with my grandparents, it was late at night and my very reserved grandfather and I watched an episode in 93 and we were laughing so hard we woke up my grandmother. It was the only time I ever saw him laugh hard even to this day. My grandmother kind of chuckled but called us children and went back to bed. Somehow he has forgotten this moment in time, was only 12 and he was in his 50s but i am so thankful to have that memory. Thank you Mike🇺🇲

@@IIISWILIII Understandable! The Western world didn't really embrace the concept until the 90's so I think a lot of people here don't even think about it. The idea that 'cartoons' were anything but kid stuff didn't really happen here until the Betty-Boop days, but even then it got too 'racy' too quick for their reserved "eat your plain cornflakes and don't masturbate" mindset and remained that way for a long time. @@DeathsInverse Unfortunately this is not the same. Since the combination of social media and smart phones entered our lives (circa 2009), everything gets censored, wokeness gets shoved down our throats and almost every entertainment is just being sold to you via mass marketing, instead of being an actual good media piece. I asked my father who is born in 1963, about what decennia he liked the most. He said 80's, 70's, 90's and a bit of 2000's, in that order. He praised 4 decennia and didn't give a single praise to 2010's. I feel like that's the general consensus these days of people that are over 30. They'd rather live during any time in the 20th century (even experiencing the wars), than to live in these dark times, which are gonna become even darker.

The original TV series introduced me to so much hip-hop I'd never heard of in the UK at the time. The likes of onyx and cypress hill etc, as a kid in the 90s it blew me away. It's awesome they're still going strong 30+ years later

He is a real talent. Animation is tough to produce, especially when its all done by one person. Its a long, mundane process that you hope works out for the best. Happy it worked out for him. Good on MTV for paying him what he was owed, after they bought the rights for 18k. Many networks wouldn't do that and then the original creator would have to fight in court.

Beavis and Butthead always had these simple but hilarious lines and situations. Mr.Anderson: Are you the boys that stole my lawnmower?" They drink a few and the police find them seemingly drunk. They are about to be arrested, when the cop sees the 0% beer and he says the line "Those kids aren't drunk they're just stupid"

I also remember The State coming on after new episodes of Beavis and Butthead… I think it was every Wednesday night. There would be back to back episodes of Beavis and Butthead followed by The State, and then the same two Beavis and Buttheads again… and then The Staye came on again after midnight
