The Orphic Creative - Creep [Chillout, Downtempo, Dark, Trip Hop, Electronica, Breaks, Instrumental]

Creep is a trip into some of the weirder recesses of my mind, where strange shadows lurk in dark, eerie spaces - waiting to pounce on the unwary listener. It has an essence of the macabre, and a dash of the underworld, and it's a delicious celebration of the darker side of chillout. This track is one of my favourites.

this is an awesome track, technically there is a lot of reverb and it is louder than the hook lines with are the bass leads, which themselves are on the higher end and thinner than they would be in a pro studio mixdown master session, and the hookline is vaguely in the background from the rest. this would be a TV/Cinematic primetime type composition, and then it would be mastered very differently with a bit less reverb, perhaps 1/2 -2/3rds as much and every partition more clearly loud in it's on freq space. perhaps check out different speakers. some poeple have different high end frequency sensitivity.

Thanks again for the comment! I take your point about the reverb, it would possibly be a bit much for some tastes. I love the richness that it provides though and the sense of space that it imparts. I could probably pull some of the elements forward in the mix but it would be at the expense of some of the subtlety. I have tried this on a number of different systems and funnily enough I find that the reverb is actually too weak on some speakers. It is surprising how different the track can sound on different setups.

Is there any way I could please use this song (amazing track btw-and I personally fucking love the reverb amount; it's perfect) as the instrumental to a song I'm writing lyrics to and making a music video for all about obsession and madness for this virtual singing/music video competition I am doing right now??
