What I like about this scene is usually in shows when the person discovers a duo being intimate and screams obnoxiously, the couple would jump out of fear, frantically gather themselves and try to explain things in a over the top way. Hey, I'm late to the party. The basics is there was an alien brought on board that, unbeknownst to the crew, was giving off touch-based pheromones during his yearly "heat" that are VERY effective for many species. The guy ended up touching several people on the ship who quickly became infatuated with the alien. And then said alien tripped over Yaphit the slime. VERY direct contact. Then Yaphit went to Claire with some rose in his tentacle and a song. Like all the other times he'd tried seducing her, she refused him... but she DID accept the roses, which he had been holding. Theoretically, coming into contact with the pheromones would have made her attracted to the alien who was creating those pheromones. Apparently Yaphit's physiology was able to incorporate the pheromones enough that Claire sought him out instead, dressed to impress and eager to experiment. They kissed first, then... this. As of now, I don't remember what the fallout was. Anyone wanna fill in?
