Maybe no lip syncing in this video (I haven't watched it yet), but they lip synced much of their career. Donny Osmond reveals in his book that they had a sound track tape called "Melvin" that they used routinely. They lip-synced to songs that they had not rehearsed and therefore could not have sung live if they tried. They even lied to the audience one when Melvin malfunctioned and said they would now do the song live, when in fact they were just buying time for Melvin to be reset.

@stilllovethoseOsmonds12 күн бұрын
Oh my goodness, I have loved them since I was little from watching them on The Andy Williams show. I'm 6 months older than Donny. Do I remember those magazines?! Let's just say I bought every issue that came out including "FAVE" do y'all remember that one? As my daddy used to say God rest his soul "I spent so much money on them ( or my parents did ) that I owned a piece of the rock!!! 😂 My room was Osmond wallpaper from the top of the ceiling to the baseboards! Every single wall. I bought a life size poster of Donny in his gold colored corduroy Jacket & Pants at one of their concerts I went to in Nashville Tennessee at The Municipal Auditorium. I had a canopy bed so I had my daddy take my canopy off & put Donny's life size poster on my ceiling over my bed with thumb tacks!! He was the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes in the morning & the last thing I saw when I closed them at night! I had everything that came out if it was the Osmonds !! I was going to marry Donny & my best friend Michelle was going to marry Jay. Boy were we both in for a rude awakening!!! 😮 Even though I've never gotten to meet them I feel I've known them & they've been my very best friends my whole life. They helped me to stay on the right road especially through my teenage years & some very rough ones in my marriage. As I got older & a lot of my friends were trying things they shouldn't have been Michelle & I was either at one or the others house listening to their records , dancing & singing with them or crying cuz we wanted to meet them so bad!! Michelle passed away in 2013 at the age of 56 from heart failure. I know if she were still here she'd still love them just as much as I do. I went to see Donny in Minneapolis Minnesota in Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. What a show!! So worth all the money I worked so hard to save for!! I took my mama , daughter, niece & nephew. We had the time of our life!! Donny was so awesome they all were . I'm so glad I went. I hope to see him one day doing his Vegas act. So far I've not been able to find out in time when he comes to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. They're always sold out or just have the real high seats where you can't even see him. Maybe one day before I have to leave this world to go be with the Lord I will get to see him again. If not I truly thank God for all the wonderful music & concerts I did get to see & especially the memories. I'm so glad they were my teen idols. 😊 I just know that at 67 they all still make my tennis shoes smoke especially Donny!!!! 😅😂 If any one of you ever see & read this I want y'all to know I still Love y'all with all my heart & soul & I always will!!!!!! ❤❤

@@DCB728 We all have our own likes. I loved the Jackson Five, too, but The Osmonds were a great group, also.

Great to see a cool director dancing in front of the orchestra instead of the usual boring square in a tux.

You just don’t see this kind of talent anymore! Not to mention the fact that they’re just good wholesome people. They got a bad deal in the context of music and finances.

I haven´t heard this song since I was a kid in the 70´s and I remembered it almost completely. In my country the Osmonds were very popular and we watched their shows on TV. And I remember the specials of Christmas and New Year with the Osmonds. By the way, it is impressive, not only the show per se, but that they avoided the strings of the microphones perfectly without looking at them. They are great!

I was so infatuated with Donny in the 70s that I never paid attention to the detail of how much all the brothers made this group. Especially Merrill as a lead singer. How I would love to go back in time and sit in the front row and watch one of their concerts again. Today's generation doesn't know what they're missing. The energy and dedication they put in their shows was amazing. I was lucky to meet them after a concert. One of my best memories.
