I was a talent agent in Beverly Hills. Let me say that some talent is challenging and not nice to the public. I have a disabled brother who l have taken to the Osmond shows. Merrill came to greet my brother in the front row. He lit up ! I will say Merrill was genuine and my brother never forgot it. Donny also greeted him and thanked him for his service in the military. Donny also followed my brother to see If he was ok . He spoke to him twice and I could tell Donny was very genuine. Thank you for your example of kindness.

He tap danced, did some tasteful rap covering his expansive career and reminded us he'd just finished recording his 65th album. There were tears & laughter with fans asking each other - how old were you when (insert song) came out? He made me cry with Close every door. It was a magical night, indeed. I love Donny's voice/appearance today, as much, (maybe more) then the 70's.
