You do know that the "Tree of Knowledge" represented sex and the orgasm in ancient times. And the moral of the story is Satan has power over you. He can only simply "suggest" doing the wrong thing. He doesn't hold a gun to Adam and Eves head. So it is not the thought of sin that gets you into trouble, but the action of sin that you are held accountable. If not here, then after death. You know that voice in your head? When you think to yourself it is mostly in the form of "words" not pictures (though you can do that as well). That voice is your soul, and your moral compass in the world. It's your direct connection with God. Because when you go to do something wrong, that voice tells you so. But, God gave man the ability to ignore that voice with free will. Well, maybe not necessarily "free" more like delayed justice or punishment. Hopefully fitting the crime and no more, right? Or otherwise, Hell would get overcrowded. lol I can see it now Adam after eating the fruit talking to God: "But seriously God, it wasn't my fault. I didn't want to eat to the fruit. But what could I do? Eve said no more "nookie" if I didn't eat it" lol So there is no downfall with mankind from eating fruit. It is the beginning of sex and reproduction. Something that God should have maybe already had that talk with Adam and Eve about so this didn't occur? Remember the punishment for "eating the fruit" or partaking in sex was knowledge of our "nakedness" and pain in childbirth for the woman, Eve. Who was now pregnant. Too many Christian preachers still like using doom and gloom, or fire and brimstone to get one's flock to do the right thing and not commit sin. But I've always found people respond better to the carrot, than the stick. Which was how I saw Jesus and his sermons. Something forgotten by today's Christians. (hint: There's no fire and brimstone in hell. It's a dark place, and cold (if you could feel cold that is) because it is far from the light of God. And Hell is before Heaven. Meaning everyone must pass through Hell before reaching Heaven. And who knows, maybe Hell is overcrowded. I don't think I would be surprised if it were. lol).God Bless.

WTH!!! so Eve is made out to be a dumb bimbo when satan looks like an angel (in all their glory), not to mention, adam had fish swimming around him so he felt a since of hope, but Eve is left with nothing so how is that her fault? Kind of BS if you ask me. The ever knowing God should have known the outcome of not sending her fish too so how is that her fault? And talk about discrimination, especially since our souls are considered equal supposedly in God's eyes. Then Adam has to pray for Eve for any type of retribution. Thats so sick.

Lord Almighty I pray that you forgive the fools. Who foolishly exposed what they presume to be their wisdom. Is there a strange way with mockery they still seek truth.But how should they be answered with mockery avoidance or perhaps insult? To follow God's path is to forgive those who would foolishly persecute you. It's difficult to ignore or to forgive the snake in the road. I pray for the strength to ignore or to correctly engage all adversity. In my hands the things that I can do. In your hands the things I cannot. I pray for your strengths in all things.

The story of Adam and Eve is simple. God is telling us:- 1. Shit happens 2. When shit happens, people, even the higher ups in society, will tend to blame others, even though it is partly or wholly their own fault shit happens. Nobody wants to take responsibility. 3. When shit happens, the only way out is to struggle and rise above it and pray to God he will allow you to rise from shit. Bickering on who's to blame is useless.

Well, yes, because Adam and Eve existed before Moses wrote Genesis, doubtless being led by God to extract from the Egyptian stories that which most closely resembled what actually happened. Stories that began with oral traditions from the foundation of Egypt, passed down from prediluvian accounts. The fact that Adam and Eve existed as historical writing before the Bible actually strengthens its position, not weakens it.

During the time of the Second Temple, among Jewish scholars were three views of the messiah. One, our contemporary orthodox view, the the messiah is not in any way divine and that he will be a political leader who will restore Israel and bring peace to the world. An opposing view held that the messiah would be born an ordinary man to whom G-d would impart divine nature. A third view conformed with Christian orthodoxy the from the outset, the messiah would be fully divine in his nature. Other issues also festured opposing views. The Saddeuses held that there is no life after death. The Pharises held that there isclife after death. Today's canon of TANACH (the "Old" Testament) was not fully estsblished until around 200 years after destruction of the Second Temple.
@gerhardeichhorn8322
@gerhardeichhorn8322 5 күн бұрын
@forestmcneir3325 That is not true. When Sabbati Zwi appeared as false messiah, he was accepted from nearly the whole jewish world and he considered himself as the son of god. The separation of politic leader abd son of god is modern. The kingdom of the messiah was in the ancient time by all jewish dominations seen as a kingdom were god in his person rules the world.

Working in Apologia, I believe that Eve always succumbing to these temptations was foretelling a later instance of such a thing happening. I haven't found any instances (historically/anthropologically) that would lead me to believe that it's due to "the patriarchy of the time." Our current culture (in the Western world, primarily) is debaucherous and exceedingly accepting of demonic things and it's mostly influenced by women. It's just true; the empathy within the woman is a beautiful thing BUT, like many beautiful things, it has its contrasting downsides.

Same (rib) bone= same DNA = genetic brother and sister who committed inc€st and then taught that way to their children/us. Adam and Eve got cast out and cursed, they got in really, really really big trouble for committing inc€st but people today repeat the same mistake (revelation 2:14-16) Adam and Eve made instead of changing their ways by *doing what Jesus taught them (CELIBACY- Matthew 25:1, Matthew 22:30 & 19:12, 1 John 2:6). They all want to tell you how Jesus only came here to die for their sins not to tell them anything important about who they are (Matthew 23:15), where they are (Matthew 23:33) and teaching them the only way out of hell now………… No, they’re too busy, repeating the same mistake that Adam and Eve made instead of doing what Jesus taught. Gotta love free will! Also, Samiel (lucifer) does not know yet, but we are bound with the very knowledge that Samiel was angered that he did not know. The knowledge of darkness... His anger is because the creator, instead of giving up his throne to Samiel as expected. The creator created us and placed us as the one who rightfully seats the throne. We just do not know this in reality because we have to choose to be happy with the knowledge of good ( the light) over evil ( the darkness). Also, the creator walks with us. Not sitting on his throne. That sets empty until we become successful overcoming the eternal death. Thus will defeat Samiel for he won't be able to handle, first that we have the knowledge he desires so much.. Causing his darkness to self destruct.. Then, since we will have achieved overcoming the darkness, we will have overcome eternal death with birth of a new song of eternal satisfaction. Accepting with praise with being a being made of light. This event prevents Samiel the opportunity of taking the throne to experiment his idea of how the laws of the kingdoms should be.

The scripture doesn't add up! Adam was made in the likeness of God and the angels were commanded to bow down to Adam but Satan refused and was kicked out. If Adam was above the angels and transgressed, then how can Jesus Christ who is supposedly God's son be below the angels? Jesus Christ couldn't have possibly paid for the original sin because he was not equal on Adam's level to begin with. Furthermore if his death were for the sins of mankind, death would've been reversed completely

Some thoughts: Fruit is sweet. It’s food that is eaten for both pleasure and sustenance. But it’s something that takes a lot of time and care to create in a garden. And once eaten, it can become an addiction in a Garden of abundant fruit. Sex is the fruit. Something necessary for survival but also a pleasurable act but leads to competition and jealousy and envy for other people’s fruit, violence, even addiction.

I recommend The Urantia Book for truth seekers. Published in 1955, it claims to be the fifth epochal revelation of God to man. Of course, like any book about God and Jesus, it requires a leap of faith to believe some of it. Free to read online, Paper 66 adds clarity to the Sumerian Tablets. KZbin may still have the audio version posted. Papers 73 to 78 tell much about Adam and Eve.

Wouldn't it be more logical that Eve dies first due to the abundant number of her pregnancies and birth giving? I mean, the anatomical resilience of the female body which has often been described as ''weaker'' and of inferior strength with lower threshold of pain (which is true today BTW), I personally think and believe that Eve might have died first. Abraham buried Sara, not the other way around, despite him being much older than his wife. I also believe the same is true about Noah in fact, this might have been true of all the men and their wives during the first millenia. Adam being the first human before Eve doesn't mean that he had to be the first to go as well. Although this opinion may be speculation at best, there seems to be an unbreakable pattern that we can see in the Genesis account after Adam's advent, that all the mentioned characters from there on that lived close to a thousand years preceding the Great Flood, are all the men (and their sons) whose names are written and mentioned, but no mention of their wives or their female partners. I would also like to note that during this millenia before the flood, it was the only period spoken and written of where killings and murders may have been mentioned (two incidents involving Cain), but absolutely NOTHING that mentions sodomy, perversion, sexual deviance nor adulteries and fornications. It's just how I understand the account.

oo, another possible mistranslation. Replace 'year' with 'moon' for the ages of the pre-deluvian people, they were on a lunar calendar, but moons may have been mistranslated as years. Divide their ages by 12 or 13 and they have reasonable, comparative ages as any other humans.
@marqsee7948
@marqsee7948 5 күн бұрын
Methuselah, supposedly the oldest person ever, was said to be 969 years old. That could mean 969 moons, so divided by 12/13 equates to between 75-81 years old.

What a fantastic tale. No wonder they put the short version in the Bible. The original story was taken from The Sumerians with great distortion. The Anunnaki created man for a workforce. The garden was a work camp. Enki the serpent created humans. He informed them that they had the knowledge of the Anunnaki. This was against his brother Enlil's order to keep them unaware of their situation. There was no expel from a paradise but more of an escape from prison. There isn't this delineation of male superiority either and they were made from homoerectus already existing.
