before a flight I take enough meds to almost knock me out, the heights isnt the issue, its being stuck in a tin can that is the issue lol glad everything arrived in one piece! 😀

Your booth is wonderful! I just subscribed to your channel and I am so glad to have found another artist that I want to follow. I’m actually jealous when I look around your studio. It’s a great space with so much light and storage. Three window and a skylight, right? Plus installed light sources. Great. Zelda is adorable and she’s so smart. I can’t get over the way she studies your art. It’s like she’s getting ready to write a review or something. LOL

Hi Fiona 🤗 thank you so much (to you and your husband) for taking us to LA and the art fair :) being on the other side of the world (france) I know I won't be there any time soon. I wanted to ask what you think about selling on the Saatchi website ? Do you think it's good ? In the past I sold on Etsy at the start of it in 2007/2010 when there was no social media back then, but since social media started I had a hard time selling so I put all my art aside and found a day job. But I never really stopped, just stopped showing it and doing art fairs. I started on Saatchi (only a few months ago) and it's hard to be noticed there, do you think it's ok to start now or is it too late ? Would you start now if you would comeback to the art world or was only starting ? Thanks 🙏

Thanks for coming along :) I was on Etsy briefly myself back in the day too (2007/2008). I ended out joining Saatchi because The Other Art Fair requires it as being a part of the fair. For many years, I just did the minimal upload that the fair required, but recently I’ve been uploading more and seen the benefits of being more active on the platform. With that said, it could also be that they curate me into shops or promote me on their newsletter as a part of the fair so I get more views. I most definitely sell more on my own website as opposed to Saatchi but that’s because I direct my own audience to my website (why give Saatchi a cut when I have done all the work to bring the audience myself?) The way I see it though: it’s free to do - all it costs me is time to upload. So if you have time to spend, it can’t hurt :) Hope this helps!

That art fair was amazing. So many talented artists all in one place. So would your advice be that if one is to do an art fair then they should get themselves an Andre? 😂 Major props to the hubby for his assist. And your eye looked fine to me. People just need to stop being all willy nilly with the questions.

I would definitely recommend not doing alone. I have tried to and ended out calling someone for help lolllll And thanks re:my eye. I think when enough people comment on it, it just gets into your head a bit. I wish I could just tell people “oh no I’m not intoxicated or on drugs - I just have an autoimmune disorder which affects my eyes.” But that would be weird LOL

As of now I try to list what I can in both places, but the return is better on larger pieces with saatchi since they take such a big cut.

At the same time? No. When something sells on saatchi, you get an email confirming the work is still available. Once you confirm, they proceed with shipping and packaging. If something sells on my website first then I go to saatchi and mark it as sold.

I am NINE ENTIRE MINUTES into this video and there is literally nothing about setting up for the art fair as described in the title, just you on a plane, walking around LA and eating food. We don’t care. This is such an incredible waste of time. Why do people title their vanity vlogs this way? You seem like a nice person but anyone looking for vital info about this exhibit doesn’t want to waste time like this.
