It was once a requirement and the motorcycle owners would move with single use head wraps. Not sure of what happened, but people are advised to go with their own head covers/wraps tho most don’t. If you’re concerned about the safety and sanitation, carry your own wrap.

Brother they are not shy. The government strictly forbids them from talking anyhow to anyone who is not from that area. They have to be very careful with what they say otherwise they will be taken to jail. If you are still there, try to ask a few people to make a comment on the government or any politics related questions as you would in Kenya to see their reaction. Traditionally people from that region (Burundi, Rwanda, eastern DRC, Kigoma) do not shy away from visitor. I know a few Blind and Keyboard warrior Rwandese are going to call me Interahamwe (A term associated with those who committed Genocide and often used to frame anyone who has a different view on the issues of the country).
