Great interview… It’s always a treat to listen to articulate musicians who really have an appreciation for music and their craft. I’ve seen Chris live about 15-20 times from the Gallo Center in my hometown of Modesto, CA to SF Jazz to Napa and places in between. He and his band and many guests never disappoint. I recently read an article in The Wallstreet Journal about him now residing just a few hours south of me in Southern California and his love for racing. I had no idea he’d relocated from New York until I came across that article. I just purchased tickets to his early Saturday show at SF Jazz (yet again) in January. And hopefully he makes it back to Modesto sometime in 2024.

Unrelated question; What wristwatch was Chris wearing in this video? Looks cool!

@25:07 That exercise comes from the great Victor Paz who showed Kenny that exercise.

Thank you for sharing! It's unfortunate, we were working on contacting Victor to interview him when he passed. Hopefully we can get Kenny on to tell that story. Victor was a legend.

@@bobreevesbrassI would love that! Get him to explain how he does his “airy” sound technique.
