July, 2024: Lais Souza works at the Brazilian TV broadcast of Paris Olympics games. She made the live coverage of Rebeca Andrade's silver medal. As a former olympics team member (2004 Athens, 2008 Beijing), her comments were a reminder of only very few athletes can make it to the summit.

Nunca vou me conformar com essa ideia, no mínimo, insensata de criarem um comitê de esportes de inverno em um país tropical e convidarem essas ginastas para se exporem a um esporte e a um ambiente com os quais elas não tinham a menor afinidade. A ginástica já é um esporte arriscado, mas Laís o praticava desde cedo, ela conhecia plenamente o esporte, e suas armadilhas. Nunca ouvi de ninguém do tal comitê se pronunciar da maneira correta diante do que aconteceu. Força Laís! Que ela seja um desses casos que surpreendem a medicina.

Crazy. Skiing is not the same as gymnastics. She need a lot more time and training in order to learn the nuances and other skills in Skiing, not the least of which dealing the weather. Makes me mad. God bless you Lais-- you will improve I just know it. '_' ; ) 08/31/24.
