A very talented and underrated band. True artists in every sense of the word. It's a shame guitarist, John Spinks, passed away from liver cancer. He loved his fans so much that he actually said he wished he could thank each and everyone personally. And, when recording their last album together (Replay), right before he passed away, John played, in spite of the pain from the cancer, and until he couldn't hold his guitar anymore. They don't make music and they don't make bands like this anymore !

Wasn't even their original drummer Alan Jackman. Simon Dawson was too over the top with his playing and adding in fills and cymbal crashes where they didn't belong. Jackman was smooth and had a natural flow to his style of playing.

Holy cow! Tony's voice is amazing. Just a casual sound check...sounds better than the album. Just WOW. So underrated... a victim of trends and timing. Still a timeless and unique talent.

Any idea of the year? This looks like the tour in the 2000's when I got to see them again in Springfield, MO. I was very fortunate enough to get to hang with them for 20 minutes or so in 1986 after they opened for Starship. Great guys, and my favorite band on earth.

Going from what Guitars they are using and oddly enough their clothing... 1998.

I myself didn't follow them back then. But indeed, given the clothes i think '98 is a pretty good guess. I'll say '97-'99'-ish

Simon Dawson sounds like a garage band drummer...missed Alan’s subtleness & mastery of the kit.

OK he's overdoing it a bit, but not in a ridiculous way as that drummer of Dire Straits on Alchemy. But agreed, a more restraint subtle drumming was much more appropriate, a bit the drummers' answer to the restraint ways of Pink Floyd's Rick Wright as keyboardplayer. Rick Wakeman may play 6382 times "better", he wouldn't have fitted with Floyd. So yes, Alan sounded better, but apparantly, he wasn't available at the time, nor someone with a similar sound. Or maybe the band just didn't want a similar sound, who knows...

John and Tony sounds great but when Simon Dawson played it was way too much. No finesse just plowing which unfortunately took away from the songs. Alan was perfect for that gig. Rest easy John and Tony. You guys are playing together once again.

I guess he wasn't available at the time. Dire Straits too tried something similar on Alchemy, a far cry from the subtle playing style of the drummer on the first studio output of DS.
