I cried during this episode. It was right before Darius was revealed as a good person. He was about to “kill” hunter, and the part that hit me so hard was that all hunter did was close his eyes and accept it. He didn’t try to fight or run. He just accepted it. It was so sad

I don’t see them as a ship but you do you :>. I thought of it as Hunter was surprised that Willow still saw him as a friend and clenched his fists. I also clench my fists sometimes if a friend remembered something I said cause y’know we build some barricades around ourselves. I think he was happy after he tried forcing them into the coven. Hunter also got flustered/blushed when he heard that Luz talked about him so he might just feel touched. Even with what Luz had already said to Gus and Willow about him Willow still treats him the same as when they first met :)

It's so good to see Willow getting a leading role in season 2. That was something I was hoping for when season 2B was announced, so to see it finally happen made me smile. On a side note, the scenes with Luz and Amity were, as usual, adorable to see, Hunter's portrayal once again showed how complex his character is, and I'm really glad that Skara is now friends with Willow and is teaming up with her. She's my favorite background character and I was hoping she'd get some time in the spotlight as an ally someday.

I found this episode almost relatable, in a weird way. I didn’t really connect with kids my age much until I was around Hunter’s age, and even then I was haplessly awkward and didn’t have enough common interests to really…do well. Penstagram was one of those things that bothered me because it felt more like Disney pushing for “relatability” than a legitimate inclusion in the show’s universe, but man, that scene where Hunter makes an account and adds Willow as a friend actually kind of got to me. What a nice episode.

Okay, so we get some more Philip/Belos lore. The Golden Guard emblem is almost exactly like the Gravesfield symbol from "Yesterday's Lie". Yo, Darius might still be a little stuck-up, but I never expected him to pull that whole 180 on Hunter. Even though he's a snob, at least Darius acknowledges that Hunter hasn't really had any friends his age - he's always hung around the Coven Heads. Giving him Penstagram is a pretty cool father-figure move. I don't know if they'll grow closer with his bond, but it's nice to know that not all the Coven Heads are crazy like Terra Snapdragon. HUNTER AND WILLOW. My gosh, I am so excited! Hunter making those connections! It's nice to see Hunter getting out more and interacting with Flapjack. Nice to see Skara and Viney getting some more screen time as well. Willow has come a long way from her introduction in "I Was a Teenage Abomination". It's amazing seeing her trying new things and becoming more confident. I don't know if the whole Hunter and Willow thing will become a ship, but it's great for them to become friends and grow as people. Plus, Gus is the wingman of the group. He's got everybody's back - from Amity and the cookbook to now backing up Willow? This man is the ultimate ally.

The book plot feel a bit like it's half relying on or poking fun at people not remembering the implications of the Titan being full of blood before it died... 🤔 It's also a dash of worldbuilding reminders, since Demon Realm stuff influenced Earth... it's sensible Earth stuff probably has at least some draw given Eda used to make a living off selling Human junk. And also little nod to the concept of human "magical literature" probably not being very interesting to a society that already has all that.

This episode, to be honest, felt like half. Lumity's plot lead them to nowhere except what we already know. The books of The Good Witch Azura were written by a human with a nickname, and Luz and Amity's theories about her identity kinda resembled our own since "Lost in Language", when we discovered Amity's book collection. Willow's story, on the other hand, was really good. I like this new confidence in her, but I hope is controlled to not let her become a new Boscha, if you know what I mean. And that training montage, alongside her match... Why the first piano notes kinda remind me of the anthem of awesomeness, Guile's Theme? Hunter is becoming more complex than I thought. He wants to be noticed by everyone, but doesn't have the social skills nor does heknow how to communicate with others. That lead him to betray Willow and her friends, because he only saw their potential, not the bonds of friendship they wanted to create with him, until the main man Steve gave him a bomb of reality. The connections between the Boiling Isles and Earth are more deep than we thought. Besides the whole revelation we had last week, the town of Gravesfield is once again present in the form of the ancient symbol; makes me wonder what will Luz might say if she finds Hunter again with that cape - possible revelation in "Hollow Mind"? Also that ending revelation is a great callback to "Hooty's Moving Hassle" (that's the second time Amity shout out really loud).
