It's funny that Dana has said that in her original version of the story the Collector was not a major player. They existed as some backstory for how Belos got as powerful as he did, but he was never meant to be a major force. When the show was canceled obviously plans had to be changed, and the Collector was made into a much more important figure. The team did amazing, especially with the unfortunate circumstances around the show. Even if this wasn't exactly the story that they wanted to tell, it was still amazing

This was a fantastic Finale, so here are some fun facts about the ending: - The Titan aka King’s dad is voiced by Arin Hanson - If you notice all of the 5 main kids have a Flapjack tattoo, & that Luz has Amity’s necklace while Eda & Raine have exchanged earrings - Speaking of Hunter’s new blue jay palisman was confirmed by the creator to be named Waffle - When Luz defeated Belos she says “Now Eat This Sucka” is the same words form the Good Witch Azura in Ep.1 - During Belos spreading over the titan I am reminded of the movie Evolution

"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." Maybe it's just me, but on top of being a total "dad" stereotype, Papa Titan gives me some Sans from Undertale vibes. I love how in the epilogue, the gang all have Flapjack tattoos, Eda and Raine have traded earrings, and Luz is wearing Amity's necklace. They built the Wild Magic University where the palace and Titan's heart was, and who better to lead it than the wildest witch there is? Honestly, while I love this ending, it just didn't hit me quite like Amphibia's ending did. Fans were worried that the portal would be closed permanently and Luz wouldn't be able to return to the Demon Realm, but I'm sure they knew that if Lumity got broken up there would have been _actual_ riots.

this episode was such a satisfying finale in so many ways and did so much well. i was just a little sad to think about all the extra things we could've gotten if we only had more time. we can only hope we get more owl house content in some form. two of my personal hangups are that we barely got v screentime and that we never really got to delve into hunter's trauma and see him work through that. i'll just have to assume that offscreen he's seeing a therapist lol. we also didn't get much of him being a part of the noceda family in the finale so i also am just going to assume he bounces around his adoptive parents/families (darius, the clawthornes, and camila) + the fact that they made the final 3 episodes spell out thanks for watching makes me want to scream and sob. so much love went into this show. im really going to miss it. there's something about. when people get to make their passion project and share that with the world and they're just so thankful to have gotten the chance and for the support they've received even if they get screwed over. it's very heartwarming to see and makes me really emotional. also can we all just applaud the crew for not going "friendship and forgiveness is always the answer, even for people who are the scum of the earth" they said F THAT stomp this man's corpse. love everything said about/the actions taken towards belos this episode. he really is one of the best villains i've seen in a long time, not even just in cartoons.

also after having time to process. im pretty disappointed hunter wasn't able to get in on the belos stomping. if anyone deserved to be there it was him. but i understand why they weren't able to do it like that, and time restraints etc etc. i can headcanon that luz and eda saved a scrap of belos to bring back so hunter could stomp on it lol + something i connected on my first watch that idk if other people mentioned but luz's titan form feels a little bit like a nod to the bodyswap episode in s1 in which king was in luz's body so she had his eyes and fang.

The magic cards were for Vee's benefit, because she's a basilisk who needs to feed on magic. The glyphs didn't work in the human realm until Luz was close enough to a source of Titan's blood for them to work. And Belos himself said that he had a harder time finding the glyphs (in the time-travel episode)--like it was done on purpose. The Titan made it easier for Luz to find the glyphs because she was kind to his son. Dana and her team did an amazing job wrapping things up, and I do hope she gets to release a journal (similar to the one for Gravity Falls) for The Owl House.

It wasn't befriending the Titan that gave her magic. Belos/Philip didn't befriend the Titan. He radiates magical energy that's why she can't use the glyphs in the human world, an now that Papa Titan is gone she can't do magic. But now as King grew older he started also radiating magical energy and now the glyphs are back, but I think that the glyphs looks different now.

the titan SHOWED luz the glyphs he created to harness his magic, she's not the first user of it since belos already had known all the glyphs except the light glyph before becoming emporer. he even had a line in kings tide where he said "I didn't know you were already combining glyphs, it took me years to figure that out. almost like the titan himself didn't want me to have that knowledge"

I wasn't sure if yall caught the fact that Belos immediately chanced on possessing the titan heart upon the Collector dropping that it is 1) alive and 2) a full-grown titan is basically the most powerful entity in that universe, because the Collector's magic is countered by titan magic But holy shit! You dropped your own thought bomb on me making the connection that the light glyphs cure the Collector's puppet/nightmare spells because it originates from the titan too. I didn't think about that!

I don't think that the collector can actually be killed. I think that archivists are immortal, thus why the Titan trapped him. If the fungus had grown over him, I think his body would just have dispersed and reappeared when belos died. There was a whole mention of how titans are stronger than him even though they're mortal, which implies that he isn't mortal.

I agree. Of the trifecta (Gravity Falls x Amphibia x Owl House) endings, Owl House has become my favorite one. (Followed by Gravity Falls, and Amphibia 3rd.) It is so goddamned RARE when a series ends in a way that doesn't make you feel like complete crap, especially after the wake of many character deaths and countless loose ends that were never given a closure that makes you feel like you can leave this story satisfied. Like Ruffsenpai I was already bracing myself for the worst because of the sheer amount of series (specifically anime) that basically eviscerate any hope or wish that you hold for the characters/series in your heart. (I honestly thought we'd lose Rain and Collector, and thank god my most morbid premonitions were proven wrong. 😭) Some series tend to end pretty mild, while others were absolute disappointments and (quite sadly) a waste of my time. But Owl House doesn't fit in either of those categories. And what's more it's a feeling of "This isn't goodbye, this is a see you later. If you ever feel like coming for a visit, feel free you weirdo. The door is always open to you." (As someone wisely put it, it gives the welcoming feeling for future generations.) Very few have ever left me with such a mixed feeling of satisfaction, a tinge of bittersweet sadness, and yet an overwhelming feeling of contentment that makes me want to do it all over again because of how much I loved this series. Other shows/anime that have given the same sense include 'Parks & Recreation' and 'Gintama', both of which give that same "come back anytime, buddy" feel that the Owl House also gives. And I couldn't be any happier for Dana Terrace and the team, and what they had accomplished against the odds.

I consider this and all the others ended the same way the adventure time finale went as it came summed up as " The end is not the end just a new beginning" or at least "The more things change the more they also stay the same".

You guys must have forgot thanks to them. Luz said glyphs are powered by the power of the island, by the power itself. Since she was close to the titan's blood, it worked. It was because there was a bit of the titan near her.

Honestly, that’s crazy how the collector wasn’t even in the show originally because I can’t imagine the show without him the fact that he was a write in character is so impressive because he’s such a well written and interesting character also, I think the owl house was canceled after the release of the Grom episode in season one which furthers my opinion that they canceled it for reasons other than they said so yeah, fuck Disney they just didn’t wanna show as inclusive as Owl house was
