I hadn’t heard of it until now. An amazing strory right down to the doofus “technician” at the shop. Nothing wrong with a re-creation if it’s done right though! A real brute of a looker too.

Bob Wallace always wanted to go racing, but Ferruccio was never interested.

Because all Kiwis are born racing drivers. NZ is the Pacific version of Finland. Ferruccio made the right call.

the whole story of one privileged car maker and one simple tractor maker couldn't have more poetic justice ...for not only sweet revenge, but sweet replacement... you got a guy named LAMborghini who then uses the symbol of the bull to trump a prancing sky... the dog has lived for sure

Thank You. What a beauty it is! But, my ❤ belongs to Pantera! Big time. Sorry, all "Ferrarista", your dream car is a Kia, in comparison. Note: My opinion. Keep these coming, You give us good entertaining Chris. from a Finn in Diaspora

Good video again Chris, but it was a wobbly shitbox with no chasis, and it was barely more mid engined than a Japanese front wheel drive, considering the engine sat transversely across the back and on one side of the car. It handled like a piece of junk cause the monocoque body shell was too weak, the world's first proper mid-engined supercar was the Countach, cause the whole engine 'was' in the middle of the car, mounted longitudinally (like all supercars) and also totally in front of the back wheels¡ This is the first video of the Author's i won't finish.

I must be the only person in the world that doesn't see the fascination of the Miura. It's a goofy looking thing.

It might not be for everyone but I've been in love with this car for a very long time. A real shame that Lamborghini never really went racing.

@@sierratango6574 Staying away from racing probably stopped them going broke. Ferrari, and nearly everyone else in that stratified realm, need racing to sell their supercar myth (and merch) meanwhile Lambo have stayed in business on the merit of their cars alone. I love Lamborghini, they make the most wild and unapologetic bonkers cars out there. Everyone on the planet remembers the cannonball run movie Countach (which wasn't even for sale in the US) but nobody remembers any Ferrari in the same way. I get that the Miura was the granddaddy of the supercar thing and I respect that just saying as a shape I find it a goofy looking thing. If I found myself excessively wealthy I wouldn't bother with anything but a Lambo. Interestingly now that they are part of the horrible VW Group they've managed to maintain their core bonkersness which in today's world is almost unheard of. Geez, sorry, that was a lot of waffling on 😆

@@AnyoneSeenMikeHunt No need to apologize for communicating thoroughly.... if anyone complains about that, it only shows their lack of comprehension and patience. The best things in the world were created with thorough communication. I for one, appreciate a thorough conversation. You may very well be right about the racing. It isn't cheap. And none of us would have wanted to see Lamborghini go bankrupt. But it sure would have been funny to see one or two Lamborghinis challenging a Ford GT40 or a Ferrari P4 330 at LeMans. I love them all as a car enthusiast. But seeing a different version of history would have been entertaining. And you are also right about that horrible VW group, it seems all the great car manufacturers now are becoming a kind of shadow of what they once were and that's not good. I only hope that the future holds better territory for these manufacturers. It would be a shame to let the heritage and history disappear.
