Pretty cool tour. Glad you found some elk. I was thinking like the quote in the Jurassic Park movie, "They do actually have dinosaurs here, right?" LOL. All the elk that I've ever encountered in the wild have already ran 3 zip codes away from you before you ever get a good look at them. Beautiful views on the trip with fall colors and the mix of dark green pines. Interesting and unique bent tree. Pretty awesome. Another great camping spot by the river. The reflection is really nice. Hahaha - yes, that is what it felt like looking for them - and on top of it - Karen read on the way up that there were so many people that made the entire 117 mile loop without seeing any - so I was a bit concerned that we would see NONE. But - we got lucky on day 2 (I unfortunately forgot my zoom camera this trip for some reason) and did see a nice sized herd. Thanks for watching!

I enjoyed seeing the search for the elk, very cool they were able to conserve some areas for them to live in. That bridge was really amazing - I would have stopped to see it, too. The grass-covered spillway looked like a such a conundrum! Loved the arch tree - so cool. Sometimes Indigenous people would bend trees like that as markers for certain places/things. Great tour.

Really beautiful area for sure and so glad you got to see elk too. Really nice bridge too, yes, those views were amazing out there. The Vista View area was very nice too. That arch tree was simply amazing to see, very interesting shape. Really nice wildlife/visitor center too.

Nice coverage. Thx again. Looked into heading to Benzette to see Elk this fall but tabled that for now, but hope to see Elk later next Fall. Very informative video. I am always curious of when people film things as it is interesting to me in wildlife spotting, climate foliage etc. We’re you there the end of October?

Hi Carol - we have heard that anytime from October until about the first week of December was best - we were there during the 3rd week of October - we wanted to catch some of the Northern PA foliage as well - and it did not disappoint!
