Very insightful interview with one of my favorite guitarist Larry Coryell. Larry is the father of jazz/rock guitar. He picks hard like a rocker, bends notes like the best of the bluesmen, but, at the same time, plays very sophisticated and eloquent lines that are breathtaking. My favorite recordings include Duster with Gary Burton, Memphis Underground with Herbie Mann, Barefoot Boy, Live at the Village Gate, Spaces ( a fusion masterpiece), Offering (which highlights Larry as a composer), and Introducing the Eleventh House -- to name a few.
