At the Battle of Iwo Jima, IJA had approximately 20-21k men on the island, of those men only 216 of those were taken prisoner through the course of the battle. Most of those prisoners were taken after they had been rendered unconscious or had been injured and could no longer fight. This video perfectly illustrates the resolve and bravery of the IJA. They inflicted a total of 26,040 casualties on US forces. 6,821 Americans lost their lives, with another 19,217 being wounded. 17,845-18,375 Japanese were killed or reported missing and approximately 3,000 were in hiding.

Please Read !!! Hello everybody, I hope you are fine. I decided to make a machinima related to the Pacific War without using many animations just like the other machinimas. Just a few. I wanted to see how cool would be a machinima made by using the default AI movement and Unit Movement Captures. Well, I was never practiced to this kind of work and I thought that it would be a good idea to learn how to use the default AI movement in such a way that it could be seem real. I can say that it's quite difficult to make a very good movie by using this method, but this fact doesn't mean that there are not any good characteristics to take advantage of. So now I can say that I gained some very useful technics which I am going to use in combination with ArmA3 and ArmA2 animations. So you are going to see much more scene quality and action in the newer movies, than any other previous movie of mine. What's your opinion for all these ??? Thanks a lot for your time and I really hope you enjoy this movie at that fullest !!! Stay tuned and until next video, lock 'n load !!!

Fighting the overwhelming might of the relentless USMC or opt to kill themselves for not being able to fulfill their duty. Such a tragedy for all involved in the Pacific War.

My Grandfather saw extensive battle action as a Marine in the Pacific theater in WWII. This is so realistic considering it is computer generated. You are very good at this. Watching this and live action war movies it is incomprehensible the terror and carnage that these soldiers experienced. I don't know how they did it. But you never know what you can endure until forced to. My Grandfather almost never talked about it. I have a small pocket utility knife he left me sitting on my desk as I type. It was important to him and he always carried it. In my opinion we have only participated in 4 justified military actions because war is horrific and decided by politicians and their goals. First was the Revolutionary War. Second our Civil War. Lincoln was right. I visited Gettysburg. So moving. Third WWII. And lastly our aid to Ukraine. A few volunteer Americans have served there but so far almost entirely we are providing weapons / aid / and intelligence - surveillance. Hopefully none of our troops will see action. Thank you for providing this - not as gratuitous violence in my opinion but rather as a demonstration of the terror and carnage of war. I salute the service and courage of the troops of all wars. It is not their fault that politicians put them in harm's way for the wrong reasons in SOME wars. Once they were there they had to fight for their lives and the lives of their comrades. I support them all but not those that sent them in some cases.

very nice! in a good way, it makes me feel like im playing rising storm lol; and the ending is epic! btw slight tip to make things look more accurate, which imo would make it look much better: unequip the carry handle on the M1918 BAR, since they are more or less a postwar thing; and USMC doesn't use officer bars on their helmets, they'd be using the same camo covers, tho i get maybe you're trying to distinguish them, maybe just give them a different gear like hbt cap or something, but regardless, this is already a really great cinematic, good job!

Is it just me but if the Japanese in this video did not resort to the wasteful banzai charge, they wouldn’t have lost 40-50 men needlessly. They could’ve held out much longer had they dug in or did a fighting retreat. But with plenty of reinforcements and armor for the USMC, the end would still be inevitable for the Japanese.
