I’ve never really stopped and looked at things in this game before watching your vids. One of my favorite things I’ve found since though is the reflection of your character in the puddle by the stash in act 5.

It dawned on me when I got a dual dream sorceress that was so overpowered that once the character is fully geared the journey ends. You have to enjoy the journey as that's the whole game, and these challenges really help to add some unique bumps on the way! Plus the detail of the remaster...*chef's kiss*

I cannot believe you didn't ditch some of the larger charms and travel with the cube. You could pick up stuff more efficiently if you have the cube hot-keyed. Then more gold by selling necro wands and sorc orbs and whatever, and gamble something better than a +1 damage ring for instance. But wow, do I admire your determination in this run. an idea for a challenge where you could possibly kill more than one mob at a time is "killing every monster in the game" challenge, you could not put restrictions on your build and go with whatever you want. The challenging part here is that you'd have to do every difficulty in a single run without save and quit, as it resets the monsters, or maybe do it 1 act at a time if you cant indulge into such long gameplay

I remember back during the original D2 going into 'drop' games (people would just drop unwanted items, sometimes really good shit). Some people would taunt the people scrambling to get items by dropping SUPER rare or valuable items and picking them back up before anyone could grab it. One day I was annoyed about something that had happened in one of the games and I joined into a drop game... on my Necro. Some person was dropping some really good runeword weapon I think it was and when he did that a couple of times I switched to the Iron Golem, waited till he dropped it again and summoned my golem with his runeword. XD It was a jerk thing to do, I know, and knew it then, but I laughed so hard after. lol

If you want to suffer, you should do a D2R: Diablo 1 mechanics challenge mode. - Only 3 classes: Warrior(Barbarian) Rogue(Amazon) Sorcerer(Sorceress) - No running, only walk - No stash - No merc - No TP tome - No gloves or boots - Only belts with 8 slots - No ALT to highlight loot Not sure about skills, since d1 spells come from books.

I did some testing with both. Zeal just hits too many other things all the time and it became a pain, and vengeance converts your damage, so if you're doing barely anything it converts barely anything. Both are available with punch only though!

I took a look into runewords and none of low/mid runewords seem to be useful...maybe Bulwark for that huuuge damage reduction and +30 replenish life that you love so much. Smoke could make space for ED only jewels in shield EDIT: I guess you gonna go for Spirit shield, every OP Paladin has to have it :) And you need more AR for nightmare

Act5 has better flow in terms of environment if you do all the quests and optional stuff cause you get some river of flame tileset and the nihlathak temple, but kinda like Act 1 and the Jail I feel like it has 1 too many mandatory frozen river type areas lol When I first saw this challenge I thought like "ah finally one that wont be horrible" but then you didn't use holy fire lol but even still the paladin put on a fairly strong show. I wonder how the other auras would've done, like a theoretical 20 might aura or something, its neat to see prayer doing anything though

I actually have a holy fire video plan, hence me avoiding it. Prayer came in from nowhere. Part of these videos is just to find an excuse to try skills I always avoid! The 4 or 5 Act 5 generic frozen tunnel areas just annoys me, as 1 or 2 would be cool, but they should have made the ancients way really unique.

Surprised no one mentioned life steal does work on undead. Just not skeletons. Any time you see the red arcs fly overhead you are stealing life. The steal is based on the physical damage dealt though so you wont be stealing much this run per hit.

I appreciate the chill vibe and your humor, but I don't love you constantly criticizing the new graphics. We can count ourselves lucky, that the remaster is so faithful and well done instead of being yet another cash grab like what they tried to do with warcraft 3 for example. Yes, the original had its charm, but you can't deny that it's heavily dated by now and even though the new graphics don't exactly look like the old ones, I still feel like they are a huge improvement over staring at a 20-year-old game in the current year. Plenty of studios or publishers make a half-assed attempt at reheating their good old stuff instead of coming up with new good stuff, and I'm tired of it. In my eyes, D2R is a break from this less than ideal trend, and I feel like we should be happy about that.
