Actually Salah, Robbo, Trent, Szobo.. came back in the first team at the same time after injuries. We had momentum, with Bradley, Gomez, Lucho/Jota in that RW position and when the injured first 11 players came back we lost all momentum and lost against MU in the FA cup, got smacked by Atalanta in the Europa league and then drew against Utd in the prem and we lost the league. I truly think that JK got that one wrong, bringing in half fit players with 0 momentum and benching carabao cup winners, inform players.

Robby. We were not at any point last season clear by 8 points. We were by clear 5 points during gws 21 and 22, but during that period city had a game in hand so in reality we were only ever 2 points clear at most during any point last season. The last time we were in a position like this was when we won the league, just before beating city at Anfield going from a 6 point lead to a 9 point lead. We are in a prime position to do so again after we beat Southampton, then beat City again at Home without Rodri to take us to 8 Points. AND before you say Arsenal had a 8 point lead period two seasons ago, that was when city also had a game in hand so in reality a 5 point lead until you drew 3 consecutive games (Liverpool ; ), West ham and Southampton) and then you got battered 4-1 at the Emirates.

@ Nah they didn’t. They had a 5 point lead during GW 20 and 22 with a game in hand. The match week (22) where City lost to Spurs, Arsenal also lost against Everton then they drew against Brentford and then lost to Man City. Squandering their chance for a 8 point lead with a game in hand, if they had won against Everton Brentford and City. Potentially even 11 with that game in hand. While looking back I found that arsenal were at most 7 points ahead of City during match week 18. Like i said the last time any team had a lead over or equal to 8 points over City was Liverpool with 9 points when we won the league. Now I may be eating my own words if we lose to City but it’s unlikely due to it being at Anfield and with them being in bad form with critical injuries such as Rodri. I’d back my team to smell their blood and absolutely crush them.

I'm not an Arsenal fan but enjoy AFTV & imo it's way way too early to be crowning anyone champions or saying anyone is 100% out of it either at this very early stage. It's going to really tough for Arsenal to win the league, but Liverpool are an unknown quantity & City aren't right at the moment too. It's improbable Arsenal win the league, but not impossible as there's 27 games to go! Apparently no club has had a 5 point gap at this stage & not gone on to win it. Also no club has been more than 8 points adrift at this stage & come back to win it. So what? The history books are constenly being re-written season after season. Would you put your house on Liverpool winning it from here? I wouldn't. Liverpool aren't a gaurantee by any means & will inevitably have a blip somewhere. Arsenal are still in it, just, & write City off at your peril. It's not in City or Arsenal's hands currently but a 5 point gap with 27 games to go is nothing & even a 9 point gap is achievable with a decent run IF your rivals are stuttering. Exciting times imo.
