It is running rich it’s only been set up to start. I still have to tune her in the low and the high speed needles which I didn’t get to do in that video on that ride. It was just a show you she runs!!

I was away for a few years and I lost my license and wont get it back till spring and my bikes have just been sittin for a few years waitin for me or I'd be riddin until it snows. Yeah, she is running rich she’s only set up to start and that an intern is running Rich -to get it started. I wasn’t able to set the low speed needle at home yet and then I didn’t do the high-speed once out on the road either I just wanted to show you guys it running. Yeah I’m not done tuning it!!! at this point I may even wait till spring anyway to really get out and ride the hell out of her!!!

Thanks brian. Yeah that’s the way you set up a linkert carb to START. they do that, starting them rich just to get it started. There’s a procedure to dial them in, and must be done while on the road. I couldn’t do it that day, I only wanted to show you guys a quick ride. And that smoke may be more than a rich running carberator, it may have worn piston rings, only time will tell. No i just need a few days of warm weather to set her up properly out on the road- and that might not happen until spring. So i’ll fix his clutch up instead!!!! 👍🍺

It is -that’s the way you set up a Linkert to start only , they run rich and then you have to take them out on the road and dial them in -which I did not do in this video. I only took it out to show you that it’s running I didn’t have the time to get it dialed in, but I will. 👍🍺

the flatty looks to have a chrome moly frame or its a reg. frame with the rear support welded in chrome moly frams where prone to cracking but are lighter great vids as aways !!!!!! HAPPY TRAILS

Bingo!!! You know your shit. It’s definitely a Harley Davidson factory race frame!!! And yeah they were chrome moly frames. But we’ll dig into it a little more seriously when I do a video on this bike!!! The 57 motor that’s in here it’s not the original motor. It’s a G motor. It was originally in a service car.
