At first I could not stand them but they grew on me and I absolutely loved them! They were one of my favorites.

I actually liked the Paolo Family and Linz Family during the end when the Paolos and Linzes raced and the Paolos were about to win. I like the Linzes due to the Linz sister never giving up and perservering, I like the Paolos due to the Paolos being competitive.

I just rewatched that season. The Paulos were one the few families that were actually competitive against the other teams. They were always striving for that first spot, that’s why they always got mad at each other. You started to see more of their vulnerability when they did the bungee jumping fast forward. I was actually a huge fan of this season despise what majority of fans say. I really wanted them to do another family edition where they actually go overseas for more than 2 legs.

They kind of reminded me of that family in Saturday Night Fever. I read that this is the only family edition they will ever do because it was not popular with fans and at each elimination the kids took it hard when they lost.

At first I didn’t like this family because it was only arguing between them. Then by episode 5 I ended up loving them. You could tell as soon as they started doing better, they got along so much easier. I loved the father especially, he always gave Phil a hug at the end of every leg.

I don't mean to go off-topic, but, the only reason The Amazing Race 8 turned out the way it was is due to CBS allegedly wanting to cash in on the success of ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

I never liked these bozos, mainly Marion and DJ. I was waiting for them to be eliminated from episode 1 and could not have been happier they did not make it to the finale.
