i feel like these stickers could be topped. the unique holo effects present on kato14/15, dreamhack14, cologne14 with the stockholm/antwerp borderless style would absolutely be the best stickers we have ever had. the paris23 stickers are objectively good but they are also incredibly boring.

I think Valve strategy is clear now, they release a massive amount of good looking stickers to decrease the price of crafting as a whole to make it accessible to all. If the price of stickers is too high and only a few get to to use them it does not matter how much they spend for it if the mechanic does not catch new players, getting new players is the best publicity Valve can get. They really don't care about investors, if they lose money it's all on them.

As a stockholm/antwerp investor my unbiased opinion is that paris stickers are better in most qualities. Thats really unlucky. Also an advice to the fellow investors please do not panic sell in the first day. Stockholm and antwerp stickers are still good looking stickers and they will not turn to worthless junk because of paris. This is because paris stickers probably won't be effected by %75 off sale due to their quality, hype and low quantity. Also demand for stockholm/antwerp won't disappear as they still offer unique experiences for crafts.

@@tictonikfgh I mean I see it as this: good stickers get good demand no matter what. Does the existence of kato 15's make atlanta 17's bad? They are much worse in comparison but they still are beautiful and have their own demand. They just do not sell for as expensive as kato 15 stickers. That being said, if paris stickers get cheaper, pgl stickers will get cheaper too for sure. However I doubt that they will get much cheaper than what they currently sell for. Antwerp proved to me no matter how overinvested the capsules are, %75 off sale does not have much effect on egzotic grade holo stickers. As they are already really low supply and have a lot of demand.

The concern here is what is stopping valve from keeping this style of sticker moving forward, considering Rio didn't sell well and now 3 of the last 4 majors have had no backgrounds, and people obviously have stockpiled much of antwerp and whatever was left of stockholm, I can see Paris being far overinvested, though that doesn't mean it wont be profitable--despite some people thinking this will turn into RMR 2.0, I doubt it with CS2 around the corner. The problem is investing in these long term, if Valve keeps dropping these every major, prices will never truly rise nearly as much as Stockholm did during the initial CS2 hype and we'll only ever see these maybe hit 1-3 dollars a capsule moving forward, which is good for sticker crafts hopefully keeping holos cheaper, but bad from an investment standpoint as people saw them hitting $7+ and was hoping it would be Kato 2014 2.0. I'd like to think SH/Antwerp will recover in price with CS2 release, but I'm also personally more of a SH fan with the black border on the golds and holos making some of the stickers more easily distinguishable compared to Paris, but both are far better than Rio which at least for now was still profitable if you bought them on sale. All in all, I'm indifferent for now on the Paris stickers and plan to invest during the sale, but I'd like to see how this pans out in the long run.

The implications of Valve releasing borderless stickers again annoys me way more than the 15-20k my inv is down from yesterday. 3 out of last 4 Majors had borderless stickers, it is fair to say that they will keep on mainly pushing out Borderless stickers for the future majors too. This will probably be the last time investing into capsules will be profitable and that's just because Paris is the only Major this year. Idk maybe Valve will prove me otherwise and won't copy paste the borderless stickers again for the first CS2 Major, but I'm having my doubts about it.

Looking at the good side this collection is probably going to be the most supplied collection aver on the market which means they will very quite cheap a relatively long time. The Stockolms however will remain rare because of the very low supply I think they will hold a good value once cs2 comes out and most of the hype over the new stuff will be gone.

Objectively new mouz holo is not better sticker, it looks flat and doesn't pop out. There is also one unique thing about all stockholm holos and that's dragon lore/cobble themed background design, in my opinion it looks way better then antwerp and paris random patterns.

I get that the Paris major sticker are borderless and it rekt the Stockholm and Antwerp sticker prices, but if you look into the actual sticker crafts of some Paris holos you will realize they have a darker shades and colour tone to it giving it completely different effect on crafts. That's just my opinion but skins + sticker combo could look very different even with just a slight colour differences.
