I’ve commented before, but these 3 are absolutely awesome. The younger guy in the middle has an incredible range, singing base to tenor and the melody. Their pitch is right on, when you can start singing before the track starts and be on perfect pitch, that’s even more impressive.

They use melodyne/autotune later in the editing process to give you that fake impression of being absolutely pitch/time perfect. It's a plague nowadays.

I second that for sure. I'm sure they're great singers, but their parts were recorded separately one-by-one, tuned and processed and they are miming to that for the video. Again, not taking away from their talent but I always feel it's a shame they it's visually presented as a raw and natural recording when it's not

It’s not just about the singing, which gives me goosebumps. I love watching their faces as well. I love it when they turn to look at one another, their faces filled with pure admiration. I also love the passion and joy in their faces when they sing. I’m sure none of what they do is easy, but they sure make it look that way with none of the artifice I find so superfluous in so many singers their ages.

I believe it was in 1965 when I heard Liam and the Clancy Bros & Tommy Makem sing this. Then on TV in the last ten years, Celtic Woman took up the challenge to sing as good a version - and succeeded. Now in Feb 2004 come my future hall of famers and move over boys and girls, make way for the family. And not only is this as good if not better than the others, but their enjoyment of singing together is so obvious in the smiles. What a future, if they so decide.
