I am also from michagan. I have been with this man for 4 years now and he just came out and told me he is trans. It about killed me. I love him very much and I dont know how to deal with this whole thing. I really have nobody to talk to that would understand. I have even had some friends tell me to choose. we both suffer from depression . myself very much so ! we dont have the money for the surgery but he is starting to wear female clothes at home or under his clothes. we have no dr's help . I AM SCARED TO DEATH!!!!! I love this man with all my heart but Im scared Im not going to be able to follow through with this. no matter how I want to. I feel so alone !!!! I want desmond to be able to be him self and who he is .he has stood by me through so much of my illnesses and I feel I do at least owe him this. out of the love we have for each other. You are the first one I have reached out to . we have looked everywhere. If yoiu can give us any addvice we would really appreachiate it. I am not a lesbian and I have excpermented also and no I cant be a lesbian. WHAT TO I DO MY HEART IS BREAKING . I LOVE THIS MAN AND WE BOTH ARE SO GOING THROUGH SO MUCH . PLEASE IF YOU CAN HELP AT ALL??????

If you really love (him) as much as you say you do, there are so many ways you can show your support. For instance, you can help (him) with dressing and makeup tips, female restroom etiquette or even just typical mannerisms. Of course this all depends on (his) comfort level and desired representation of being a woman. Some trans women may not want to fall perfectly under the feminine category or to be what traditional society deems "lady-like". So keep that in mind and try your best not to criticize. As far as doctors, I suggest researching doctors in your area and surrounding areas and making calls. Over the phone you do not have to disclose any personal information just to find out if the medical professional has any experience with trans people and if they are accepting new patients. Good for you.. Everything was a issue with us, I wish it could have been that smooth. My family didn't give a dang and loved my mate unconditionally. I wish I could have had a trans partner who was that open and understanding and caring of my feelings and allow me to learn. I tried and it was not good enough, I am so hurt and angry. My mate was very short and had the attitude of my way or the highway.

+Alazuan Calhoun I am so sorry to hear that. Some people can be very closed off and not allow themselves to be vulnerable. I have realized that being vulnerable actually gives me more freedom to be myself and let others see me for who I truly am. I wish everyone could practice open communication. It prevents a lot of confusion, heart break, anger and distrust. I hope you are still able to take away some positive things from that relationship and continue to grow and learn! :) It's hearts like yours that this world needs more of.

+Rob Landis Nah.. I am bitter cause the reason I am getting is bs.. and I have to go thru the heartbreak alone cause he won't even allow me closure. he just tossed me aside as if I was trash. It would have been diff I guess if I knew from the start so I was given a chance.. nope. however his family gets a free pass and don't have to address him cause its okay they will learn in due time. I will NEVER do this again..

You realize this is MY channel? We have a very close relationship and she was really nervous about even being in it. Trust me, if she wanted to add more to what I said or tell me I was wrong, she would have said it. Thank you for your input though. I'll work on that next time we do a video.

Ha! Thanks for the feedback! She started out being nervous about talking to the camera. I guarantee you if she didn't agree with what I was saying, she would have openly disagreed on camera. I'll try in future videos to let her talk more!
