The strip of iron (which comes in a roll) is called 'wall pass' & quite important as u have rightly stated for the reinforcement of the wall strength of the building walls! My take on the windows in the master ensuite bedroom: why 😢not have sme side windows on either of the two walls & u seal those 2 small ones to enable sufficient lightning & great view from the bedroom?

In my country once you have indoor toilets, you do not have outdoor toilets. Outdoor toilets are only built when you don't have indoor toilets. Just cultural differences. The plan should remain as is. The Lshaped window suits your style of house. You can see who's entering by means of cctv. Plus, one is not always in the bedroom. To me seeing who's entering the yard is not a compelling reason for having an Lshaped window.
