Trivia : Wanting to protect a piece of art that he loved, Jack Nicholson bought the rights to the film shortly after its release, and kept it out of circulation for many years. In 2003, he entered into negotiations with Sony to re-release the film.

@@suatustel746 Five Easy Pieces, The Last Detail, Chinatown, The Passenger...Jack's most fertile period for sure. Did Maria Schneider as "the girl" in the Antonioni film sell Locke out?...it grows more hauntingly ambiguous with the passing of the years...

@@philiphalpenny3783 no Maria was only flummery theme or subtext to movie adduce extra subtlety, Dont forget the carnal knowledge and one flew over the cuckoo nest, and latest with Co star demi Moore and Tom cruise movie and goin South but overall his acting with mimics and gimmicks almost reiterate his character most of his movies, but passenger was dictated by Antinoini to act naturally without being overwrought his character...

Antonioni's strength is not suspense. This trailer tries to emphasize it in order to get people to watch it, but he's not interested in that. He's more interested in mood, emotion, how environment reflects what's going on inside a person, and how what's going on inside a person affects how he perceives his environment. The same could be said about the mysteries of L'Aventura and Blow-Up and Identification of a Woman.
