While I 100% agree with you, bury the light absolutely slaps, I dislike the mentality that good songs don't contain swearing. Swearing are taboo words, they are often used for emphasis, or honestly intellectual shorthand when used in language (not saying that to demerit my perspective, as in communication, these kinda things are actually needed for levity). And where it come to art, which music is an expression of that, swearing is an expression of it. My personal favorite songs include remember the name by fort minor and we are the future by from ashes to new. The swearing in that, does not demean the messages from those songs one bit, because they are fucking fire. But also it also 100% depends on the artist and their performance of the song to make it work. Cos yeah some songs that contain swearing do suck, but you listen to what you enjoy ^^ Thank you for reading my Ted talk :p

To me it was cool song playing during a combo at first, but when I searched for the lyrics, I knew there was something deeper, and then I started whatching videos explaining Vergil's character, then I played the games, read the novels, the mangas and wow, I can say with no doubt that Vergil is my absolute favorite character to ever exist, cannot quantify how much I adore this character

Great video, dude! I'm surprised it doesn't have more views considering how popular the song is. I 100% agree with everything you said in the video. This was the first DMC game I'd ever played so I really didn't know what I was getting myself into. When I finished it, my only thought was : "Let's do it again!". So I did do it again, but the second time, I played as Vergil. And oh, man was it cool. I had heard parts if the song before, but I never expected it to hit so hard when you're in the zone slashing away at the enemies. When I played it outside of gameplay it really grasped my attention even more. I remember questioning if it was a fan song, because while listening to it you truly feel the passion that was put into it. Anyway, have a good day and keep up the good work I will definitely be checking out your other videos.

It helps because he was a fan of the games too! It's very interesting because he also makes pop songs in his YT channel and I feel like his style of composition and making it more into Rock/Heavy Metal plays lot to both Devil Trigger and Bury the Light's success. I don't think it's a coincidence that. Both of those songs became major hitters where even my non-DMC friends listen to them occasionally.

This song also means a lot to me, especially since yesterday, I was doing a 500 pushup challenge because a certain bald cobra told me too. It was midnight i had to minutes left before my 24 hours was about to end. I blasted this on my alexa, keep in mind I'm 13 and my family's sleeping. I had 2 left to go, curtains open, shining on my vergil funko pop i made and 3d printed at school, right arm dangling out by a string of glue, my form was ass, abysmal. My chest and triceps were completely destroyed, but at the finnal major beat drop, I did the final pushup. This song is also amazing during cold showers, although cause its summer, its getting to easy, might need to do a ice bath soon

A good soundtrack stays with you way after the end, for example "far from any road, in the first season of true detective, I'm not into country, hell , the most of the south I've heard ins "never been to Spain" but that song (far from any road" got the soul and the setting just right and it became the flagship, an OST done with love enhances. And goes beyond PD: also in silent hill the theme "Laura's theme reprised" did the same in the way that it encapsulated the feeling of the game into a song.

Man I thought devil trigger was a mangnus opus, and I enjoyed it (I still do), I felt the heart bleed in that song. But then bury the light happened, only this masterpiece could make that song feel unworthy by comparison. But beyond that, vergil was always playing second fiddle to soundtracks in his previous iterations, stealing the other characters theme songs, and the one time vergil got a song to call his own, it's this song that absolutely slaps, and goes hard ^^ Bury the light is something I listen to on repeat, very few songs do that to me, and it changes with time, bury the light is one of the most longest lasting in that aspect (so far it's: we are the future, remember the name, my name, paid my dues and Phoenix that I spam listen to if ya care, along with bury the light of course)

Can't believe it's taken this long), but the next level for my enjoyment to songs is amvs, for bury the light, it's specifically a broley one (dbz), I know the movie had mixed reviews, but I kinda like the fact base form broley was kinda owning SS God's and stuff ^^ Also I like broley in general :3 Also vergil, in general, kinda now realizing how dumb the sparda universe is now, and I'm loving it. (Cos lore and music are kinda secondary for me for gameplay, so you know, for me to go, hold up, this sound track slaps, in the middle of me owning demons, is the highest complement). Kinda already knew the only people that could step to each brother is themselves in that universe and everything else is fodder to them, but now, maybe, maybe them being 9D and all, they could possibly do well in the Lovecraft universe :3

Also I feel like a crazy person to the lead up to the chorus (you know I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING !!!!!!) I can swear I hear words being uttered. I know they probably explained but I hear "I am the father" "I am the brother" "I am the other" This has an obvious meaning in the context of Vergil. He is the father of Nero, The Brother of Dante and the other clearly refers to V.

Ironically it was Bury the Light that got me into DMC in the first place. I heard it on a Formula 1 meme video, got curious and next thing I know, I played from 1 to 5 on steam. I don't regret a second of it (safe for DMC2)

I knew nothing about the infamy of this episode, and at mission 14 I just couldn't carry on. I was craving for more story, but there was nothing much of it there, as confirmed my search on YT afterwards... Thankfully 3 got me back through it with the story bomb (even though I don't think a game ever frustrated me with such sheer difficulty before!)

imo I find rules of nature to be excellent but I think it's carried by the chorus, while bury the light is just epic on almost all phases. Not saying rules of nature is bad tho
