I am halfway through my bachelors degree for pre-vet track , concentration of wildlife Biology. Love this! Both my favorite jobs between the ages of 14-18 I got by offering to volunteer after being told they weren’t hiring to prove I was a fit for the job and that they’d want me. Worked every time haha. One was a dog hotel, the other an animal hospital.

I can tell that both of you have an amazing passion for animals, and it’s great to hear of all the good work people are doing to help animals in need. My only gripe, is I just wish the enclosure were bigger, I know that is probably a matter of cost that he probably doesn’t have, because like he said no one gets rich from becoming a zoo keeper. I also realize the that these enclosures are probably easier to maintain. Again I just wish the enclosures were bigger, but keep up the good work.

Bill Haast was my hero in the early '70s. When I was 13 yrs old I was privileged to talk to him about my sick Boa Constrictor. He past away in 2011 at 100 yrs old. No telling how many lives he saved by milking venom from snakes. He may be the only human to survive the bite from a large King Cobra.

Beautiful, very clean facility with what looks like very healthy animals, but I kinda miss the naturalistic enrichment in the cages. I think what you have done with for example some of your turtle species and Slinky is a more naturalistic way of housing these animals with nice big trees and a lot of rock in the cages. BUT I understand it is kinda harder with like big cats and stuff and they do look happy. :)
