Good luck to you young lady & try to stay positive, I can relate to all the emotional stress. I have had 5 retina detachments, I have buckles on both eyes. I have developed advanced glaucoma in both eyes from all the trauma from the surgery's. Cataract surgery in both eyes & multiple laser and cryotherapy's. I think that's it but I'm starting to lose track, Oh yea I have diplopia too! LOL. I can actually see pretty well considering, I have been able to drive up until this week. I have a fantastic retina specialist, he saved my vision many times! I'm having optic nerve trouble now, my glaucoma is starting to win the battle just in the last few months. I was 21 when it all started & I'm 61 now, so I did well. Even tho I'm headed for the dark room now I think, but I'll be okay.

I went through all these, today is my 4th month after surgery ... every time I watch the video from people who had gone through as I had I feel comfort, only they can feel what I feel. I watch the whole video and thank you

Wish I had seen this 4 months ago lol. Thanks for sharing your experience. My story is similar. Pneumatic Retinopexy w/ laser first. That didn’t work. Then vitrectomy. Fingers crossed my retina stays attached! To all my fellow retinal detachment survivors, you inspire me. People don’t now what a nightmare it can be! ❤

@dmt2k Жыл бұрын
@@eramshaikh_21397 48. it’s been 9 months since the vitrectomy. just saw the cataract doctor and he said it’s still very small and that insurance wouldn’t cover any cataract surgery now. he wants me to go back in one year.

I cannot imagine the hell you e been through. I just found out yesterday that I have a detached retina with a large retinal tear (on Thursday). But I don’t even see the surgeon until next Monday with surgery hopefully on Tuesday. I don’t know why they’re making me wait so long. My sight in my right eye is now almost completely black. And I was told it will only get worse. So I’m scared to death to see what the surgeon is going to say on Monday. I sure hope I don’t have to stay in the facedown position at all. I can’t imagine having to do that. Kudos to you for keeping your sanity during everything. I can see how it would get so depressing at times. I wish you continued success with your eyes.

Just had surgery on Monday, 11 September 2023. Prior to that I had gas bubble injections, and laser treatment to tack my retina in place … over the previous week. I’m 10 days into face down after care and 58 yrs old. I found comfort in your story. Thanks for the audio. Limiting screen time and grateful for talk to text. Just starting out with who knows how many weeks left. ❤

This video was amazing, the way you balanced showing your raw emotion and the extra stuff you went though on top of the surgery was so beautifully put together.

I just had the surgery three weeks ago. Actually I had two surgeries in the month of January for a retinal detachment in my right eye and they put in a new cataract lens in the second surgery. Today’s 1 February and I still can’t see out of my right eye things are blurry. I have slight pain and, I’m discouraged but after watching your video and seeing that it is not an easy procedure and you getting better throughout your journey uplifting so thanks again for making the video you were authentic and I appreciate it. Thank you.🙏

Hudson, I am so sorry you had to go through all that! I have medical anxiety so I totally understand feeling relief only temporarily and then your anxiety convinces you that they’re wrong and you’re not okay. It’s horrible. But you’re doing great. And the hair brushing was very triggering lol. I too have a very sensitive scalp and long thick hair that gets tangled very easily. It’s horrible. I hope the new year is kind to you and you get some much needed relief 💜

Wow, I can't believe KZbin just showed me this video. I've missed a lot! You've been through a lot these past few months. I'm glad to hear it's mostly over and that your eyesight is doing so well. I know you talk about how you need to take breaks from people, but if you ever need a fellow spoonie to just listen while you vent, I'm here. I know how important it can be to talk about things. Happy New Year, and I hope 2022 brings you plenty of joy.

I totally understand how you felt in this video. I can relate 100%. Ive had 3 surgeries in the last 13 weeks. My 1st surgery was the buckle and gas bubble. 2nd surgery was laser and gas bubble again. This past Friday, my 2nd surgery was laser, removal of scar tissue and oil. I have to go back for surgery in 3 months to remove the oil. This is truly exhausting. My whole life has changed. Cant work. I thought I was the only one going though this. But I have seen so many videos now seeing people go through what I am. I just wish I knew when this would all be over. I now am applying for disability. I dont know what else to do in my life or where my future is headed. Thanks for this video. How are you now?
