Hello Justin, I'm a huge fan of Frusciante and his playing style. He never sticks to ONE strumming pattern, he stimply strums how he feels it, he moves the accent around. If you'll listen to his live concerts, he never plays a song the same way. Just wanted to say that guitarists should never get stuck in a system, or a cage. Always be free, always experiment, play how you feel, that's the most important part of music. The heart.
@ollieduggan1524 жыл бұрын
Andi well to make the tutorial he had to stick to one pattern so other people can copy it, I totally agree with you though.
@mikekatz60243 ай бұрын
That's the way I try to approach it. Be free. Your comment is appreciated.

I love that you said cage here lmao. Guitarists should never get stuck in CAGED.

Thank you very much. I was struggeling to record my own song, and after 30-40 useless takes, I decided to learn some Frusciante first to get the feeling back. I learned this song with your video and immediatley afterwards recorded my song again and was so happy with the result, that I uploaded it ;)

you are the best teacher i've ever seen, the first songs i learn were with your old videos, wild thing, knocking on heavens door and stuff. i live in brasil and in that time (2007, 2008) my english wasn't even that good and i could still learn from you, now i play music for almost 10 years and i've learned a lot and sometimes i still watch your videos, like this one, great songs, great method as always. thank you for all the help back in the day man, a big hug from a fan.

Because he's my fave, & I love his esoteric / metaphysical views talk re- music. He's beautiful!/// And the fact that u like him makes me respect you more as a decent caring human being, that sees peoples souls and is truly open minded not up yourself or judgemental... But then again I shouldn't b surprised u r a professional musician? So variety must be your spice of life their, youd be coming across 1000s of different styles... Well enough dribbling on..
