The Past Tense in German

This video introduces the perfect tense in German as the main past tense. It explains the two elements required (helping verb and past participle), both in general and in detail, gives clues as to how to recognise regular (weak) and irregular (strong) verbs and gives examples of sentences with two different verbs. Apologies for my pronunciation of "participle"; I got into a bad habit early on in my language learning of emphasising the second rather than the first syllable.

I have a test in little over a week that will determine if I can move onto next class or if I will be held back a year, I'm so anoxious tbh. It will be Bildbeschreibung (picture / comic description) in past tense so this video was very helpful for me to remind myself of it + my teacher never explained usage of sein and haben depands on movements!!
