Looks big on you. Did you try a large?
@meandmyjackets9 күн бұрын
@@CrossoverDayPackReviews I did not try a large. I just went with my normal size XL for the video to show how it fits. Yes, it is a bit big on me.

Normally I’m a solid medium for Patagonia jackets. For some of the base layers and tight fleeces I’m even a L. But for this one I am currently trying a small and it fits well.
@meandmyjackets7 күн бұрын
@@ChenProductionsCo I get that, the macropuff really fits larger. I like to buy all of my jackets for the videos in the same size, my normal XL. This way it's easier for me to tell what runs smaller, or larger.

between the Das Parka and Macro, which one is warmer?
@meandmyjackets12 күн бұрын
The DAS Parka is warmer. But a different type of jacket. It is designed to be worn over something like the Macro puff.

Will you do some reviews on Outdoor Research Jackets?

Hopefully in the future, Outdoor research is on my radar🙂

How does this differ from the DAS light? Seems they use all the same materials.
@meandmyjackets3 ай бұрын
I would say that they are a bit different in designed uses. The Macro Puff is possibly more of an insulation layer good under a shell. While the DAS is more of a Belay jacket, good on top of layers. They are similar with the materials that they use. I would also say that I believe the DAS is a bit more wind resistant, and a bit less breathable.

I really wanted this, but technical parkas need two way zipper - without that it’s not a real winter sports item
@meandmyjackets3 ай бұрын
I get your point. This jacket also fit a little larger than I expected, but that is good if you wish to wear layers under it.

you need a microphone brother.

I do use a nice shotgun mic, just off camera view.

Agreed. A lavalier mic would be awesome
@meandmyjackets2 ай бұрын
@@lungbuster341 I tried one, borrowed it from a friend. It does sound good, but found it to be a problem putting or taking off the jackets. Or pulling up the hood, and when I zipped up the jacket, the sound of my voice got really muffled. There was a lot of distorted noise putting on layers, etc. Very difficult to do what I do, and not make a lot of noise with the jackets and zippers rubbing against it. I use a very good shotgun mic just out of the frame about 5 - 6 feet away. I will try to move it closer, maybe above my head just out of frame, and see if it gets better. I feel that the sound in my videos is not terrible, but I agree that it is important, and I'll try to make it better. Thank you for the advice.

@@meandmyjackets That makes sense. I do enjoy your informative videos which have helped me make some informed decisions about some clothing I"ve purchased.

@lungbuster341 I'm glad the videos help you. I just put out a new video this morning, and I changed the location of the mic, hanging it from the ceiling closer to me I think it sounds better.🙂
