The Patch That Added Broken Weapons To Fallout 4.

The BIG, long-awaited Fallout 4 Next-gen update is here... and man they really broke the game!
This new next-gen patch adds a handful of new weapons and armours to Fallout 4, while bringing 3 new questlines orientated around The Enclave, the new scrap-weapons and a special Halloween quest.
But the update didnt exactly go to plan and the new content added pales in comparison to the next-gen update that Skyrim recieved. On top of this, a lot of the new content doesnt function correctly, resulting in a lot of peoples savefiles getting corrupted. A ton of mods no longer work and Fallout 4 London was indefinitely delayed...
BUT THEY ADDED A NEW WEAPON THATS SUPER FUN! (only because its broken lmao)
Today, we'll be adventuring into the next-gen patch in all its broken mess, while enjoying the new content and breaking the game with my NEW favourite weapon. Enjoy.

Fun fact: the Tesla Cannon(s) are broken too and have no reload animation. Meaning they can basically be fired continuously nearly as fast as you can pull the trigger for as long as you need, or until you run out of fusion cells. It's the update that keeps giving.

That's how the endless legendary modifier works for other weapons, so it sounds like the Tesla cannons have been given that property by default

@@cakeyeater7392 no- it doesn't work like the endless modifier does. That modifier gives an endless clip, whereas the Tesla has a 15 shot clip before it resets. When you get to the end of a clip, there's a small stutter (like fraction of a second) where it looks like the Sole Survivor tries to animate but it gets immediately canceled. I think something is glitching/canceling the animation.

the skyrim next gen update did way more than this; it made the game 64bit instead of 32 so we could allocate more than 4gb of ram, implemented native occlusion that they liked showing off with rain, made arrows travel further making sniper builds stronger. and that is all i remember.

Build a square 1x1 room with a roof and a hopper underneath. Make one of the walls the wire-mesh concrete wall so you can VATS-aim at a mine though it and bobs your uncle, the balls cannot hot the mine and you have an auto collection underneath you.

Someone made a video about the 1st release version of fallout 4 and going thru all the bugs it had and I tried all of them on the "next gen update" and pretty much all of them worked. The dogmeat cryolator glitch still works on top of hundreds of others

To be fair. A lot of the wepaons are amazing. Baseball Launcher shown. 40mm Grenade Launcher ammo costs like 10 caps a shot. FOR A GRENADE LAUNCHER WHICH STACKS RIFLEMAN/GUNSLINGER AND EXPLOSIVES EXPERT. Heavy Flamer shoots FUCKING FIREBALLS. For 1 Fuel per shot. Sawblade is generally just good. Good damage, Good firerate. Nail Gun.

And tesla canon is the most broken weapon in the entire game, a energy canon that uses regular fusion cells (1 per shot) and has no reaload animation, you press reload and the magazine is full again, so you can shoot infinitely.

According to the loading screen for the weapon, the baseball launcher is canonically a fusion powered leaf blower. Which would explain why it has an ammo clamp similar to the Gatling Laser The legendary Rapid Pipe Grenade Launcher is basically Thump-Thump from New Vegas And the new ammo shows up very sporadically in vendors. Even Elenore NW of Fairline Hills Estate doesn't carry them consistently, and when she does its not in stupid large quantities like every other ammo type

I had to download a mod that lets me craft the ammo at chemistry stations. The modified baseballs I can understand, but I don't know why the grenades, saws, and nails weren't put into the loot tables for world drops.

Nails, saws, and baseball grenades are cool and all for 15 minutes of lulz, but you can get a spammable mini fat man instead, which is 10x more useable overall.

This patch is an unhappy medium. If it were just the CC content, then it would be underwhelming, but at least wouldn't break mods. i think the baseball launcher launches so many shots since its a weird cross between the gattling laser and the junk jet, firing items like the junk jet while being built off a modified gattling laser. like they started with the GL and then changed it to make the baseball thing and just forgot to change how many shots are fired in vats

Get the Flakker instead if you're on PC. Suggs drops it when he dies and it's a 6 to 9 magazine grenade launcher that uses 40mm mini nuka grenades. (But there's a bug that keeps ammo from occuring naturally in the world, so you have to console command the ammo in. In the console type "help 40mm" then look through the list for the 40mm nuka grenades ID- because there's no wiki page for it yet)

The baseball launcher reminds me of an old mod weapon called "The Propulso" that was essentially a gravity gun in Fallout: 4. It deals zero damage, but can send your enemies to the literal height limit of the game. It was hilarious. Good times.

I play FO4 on Xbox One still, and I’ve had very little complaints. All my mods are working and I didn’t have a problem with missing models. But for some reason halfway through playing the missions I couldn’t take fusion cores out of power armor anymore? That hasn’t been a problem yet…

I found a very effective way to farm the baseballs. Using the shack wall corner in the wooden buildings-walls I made a small room inside of the red rocket garage (the one next to sanctuary of course) I placed it in the corner with the workshop next to it with the corner facing outward. There’s a hole in the wall that can give you line of sight to a mine but won’t allow you to fire through. I’m not sure if it’s just angle dependent or if it has full collision but you can just continually use vats to the right of the dirt pile next to the garage door while it’s closed and most balls with land in a pile in the corner next to the door that leads into the building. I started with 69 baseballs and after using full ap vats maybe 20-30 times I have 515 baseballs

24:40 Goodneighbor got mad because as you were still shooting Finn's body in VATS, when it launched into Kleo's shop, his body went behind one of the citizens and because it was still aimed at the body, it shot what was in that path, ergo, you shot another character and that turned everyone aggro. In case you didn't realize earlier, must have a low perception IRL, you did the same thing to one of the Triggermen in Park Station/Vault 114.

I think I know why the launcher shoots 18 balls while only consuming 10 balls. The magazine only holds nine, but the game says “no, you have to shoot 10 when using vats”, so your character automatically reloads to shoot the tenth… except Fallout being a Bethesda game, this makes your character shoot the entire second magazine they just reloaded. However, the game knows you should have only shot ten baseballs and thinks you only shot ten baseballs. Therefore, you consumed 10 baseballs while having actually shot 18

what you do is build a "hopper" from the manufacturing dlc. which picks up objects that can go into a container. put a platform above it, and then do that infinite baseball glitch.
