Sending this to ALLLLL my children. Actual and virtual. I'm determined while I have breath, to get them to get THIS. I HAVE BEEN SPEAKING THIS TO THEM FOR YEARS. Information rules, we have been prepared for a time such as this. We have done it for others, now we WILL do it for ourselves. They are so talented, educated and amazing people. The sky and beyond can't even limit them

I can't help but to think of Mrs. Lacks, her family and the injustice perpetrated until this day because where I work we utilize her cells daily. Both the cost to purchase the cells and their utilization in studies is big bank.

Henrietta basically had the Vibranium for the world, like what was used in the movie Wakanda. Her genes are actually the link to the first man / woman.

I remember reading the book called the Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks in college. The family should have been compensated for that. John Hopkins did her family wrong. This needs to be brought up and revisited in court. Thank you so much for bringing this up. We argued and debated about this in a utilitarian aspect in my advance debate course. I can imagine how much money the Hela Cells have made for the U.S. smh...Karen you are sooo awesome. Once again its an black woman bailing out America again..even in death. Please keep doing what you are doing. I love ya work. Keep educating.

The ways that Shontavia has placed the patent within its proper critical and historical context, it sounds like it's just another square in the quilt of racial capitalism. Just a thought...

I read the book and followed the law on body parts long ago. There is so much more to the story. I will say that the book was written with so much cate by the White author in stark contrast to fictional properties like _The Help_.

No one makes money off of their own body parts. No matter the race. But corporations make money off of cells and research. They do the research. And who owns the corporations and keeps the money!? We know who.

Please record your videos louder. I think it's better for the volume to be loud and we, the audience, have to turn it down than low and we max out the volume and still have a difficult time listening. You're doing such amazing work. We appreciate you. Thanks 🤗

What if there are more black people with the HELLA cells. The idea that a single individual would have immortal tissue doesn't jive with me. Think we all get experimented on at the same rates as before. The system hasn't changed make some think they're special and others feel lack. Cast systems are about knowledge more than wealth. Separation and segregation creates miscommunication
