I thought they would’ve seen a bunch of elephants but I think the Matriarch when she said “finding them” she meant their spirits/bodies and not living elephants. Also the elephants’ sprits/ghosts were all different sizes; I think that means all different ages have died there. Like another comment said how bare it was around that area and how there was no food. So a herd journeyed there but couldn’t find any food to eat and so everyone in the herd died. (That’s why all ages of elephants spirits/ghosts were there) Or the dead elephants come to visit/welcome their new dead elephant. Or both.

Hey Seri, love how you're making this series so interesting! I know a majority of Shelter fans were disappointed about this game and I don't have the money to spare so I'm glad you're playing it P.S. - The "wildebeest" are gaurs/water buffalo and the "gazelles" are chitals and blackbucks

I was one of the ones who was disappointed, so I can't in good faith recommend it unless it goes on sale and you're willing to potentially end up wasting some money. I wouldn't spend full price on it, so just be cautious. That said I also wouldn't call it a waste, since I'm always happy to support might & delight, but like I said, just be careful

The developers of all the Shelter games, Might and Delight, never fail to amaze the players of their games. They teach so much about the circle of life, and mostly how animals live in the wild. All 4 of the Shelter games, Shelter, Shelter 2, Shelter 2: Paws, and Shelter 3, leave me in awe of how bittersweet animal lives are, with people hunting them down and going extinct, animals are tough through it all. It's almost the same with people, who also have such bitter lives. But with animals and nature, I feel as if they have tougher lives. I personally just really like animals and nature.

It's definitely the least emotional shelter game, but the ending is realistic. It looks like the same thing happened here that you were talking about, where the elephants got trapped and ran out of food source? It's a pretty barren, desolate landscape, and would explain why every single one was dead. I also just noticed the tree there is the same one as in the dream/memory sequence.

This game reminded me of Bravelands by Erin Hunter so much. Those books did a really good job at showing how elephants, lions and baboons live (plus the writing was so well done)

I loved this story This game and the way Seri tells it is exactly why I love elephants as much as I do. This story was beautiful and it ended in the best way possible.

When I first saw the bones at the end I was "oh no!" But then when the matriarch layer down and the ghost appeared I realized it was a resting place and was just kind wow not the ending I was expecting but the shelter endings are never expected I mean just look at shelter 1
