Dr. Margaret Redpath, MD, RCPSC, PhD, Dermatopathologist, presenting "The Pathology and Staging of Melanoma".
Once the biopsy has been completed, the tissue sample will be sent to a lab for review by a pathologist or dermatopathologist. They will evaluate the cells and tissues to help diagnose the disease if present. Watch as Dr. Redpath explains the importance of pathologists within the patient's overall healthcare team, how a pathologist diagnoses melanoma, and how melanoma is staged.
