Still one of my favorite music groups to listen to when I’m doing chores.

I love the duo's harmonies and think they should have had more hits than they did.

@Nyc Finest Bitch... 1960's and early 70's were an extraordinary and turbulence times to have lived through, we had the civil rights movement in full swing, the Vietnam conflict, protest and riots in the streets, the assassination of John F Kennedy, Martin Luther King jr., Robert F Kennedy, Malcolm X, longhair movement on teenage and college guys that was look down upon by mainstream society mostly adults, the Kent State University tragedy on May 4 1970 were the governor of Ohio sent out the National Guard with live ammunition and open fire and shot and killed for unarm college students. it's easy to look back and remember the good times and block out the bad times. I feel it was televisions variety shows and sitcoms and the music of that era that gave us a little relief from it all.

I was always very impressed how the Patty Duke Show was one of the few TV shows to acknowledge Rock Music and more specifically the British Invasion

Yep. Beaver left it alone!
@everforward86514 жыл бұрын
@@libertyann439 Leave It To Beaver did acknowledge rock 'n' roll, but not the British Invasion, because the show ended its first run in 1963, before the Invasion.

They did a guest spot on The Dick Van Dyke Show about the same time as this episode of P.D. They needed somewhere to hide out from their fans -before they were to perform on The Alan Brady Show (who Rob wrote for, of course ) So Rob and Laura Petrie were elected to let them stay at their home ! It was both cute and hilarious !

I'm shocked and saddened to report that David Stuart Chadwick ("Patrick" wearing glasses) has left us, at 79, from pneumonia after a fall. He celebrated his 79th on Dec. 10. The exact date and place of his death have not been reported, but it was confirmed on the duo's Facebook page: "“We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Chad Stuart, a father, a husband, a brother, a grandfather, a friend, a mentor, a teacher and an inspiration to many. Chad developed pneumonia (non-Covid related) after he was admitted to the hospital due to a fall. We ask for love, celebration but also space while the family adjusts to life without this incredible force. The family would like to thank his fans from around the world for the outpouring of birthday wishes and gifts he received every year. Chad took the time to read each and every card. The world has lost a legend today, but his voice will continue to touch our lives through his music.” bestclassicbands.com/chad-stuart-obituary-12-20-20

Patty should have apologized for that stunt she pulled with locking Cathy in there. That was a terrible thing to do and Cathy should have immediately rushed out and told her off for it.
