Your guitar playing is on another level. Your ability to phrase and create melody like you do is fantastic. You should do a video on how you go about creating melody and phrasing in your solos
@areyouavinalaff2 жыл бұрын
Whistle a tune and you'll find you already know how to go about creating a melody. Get as good at guitar as whistling and the melody will be just as easy. The trick is knowing where the notes are and how to get from one to the other, whether whistling or playing guitar. The melody is already in you.

Dave. Just read the video description and as the official ambassador for the POTT it is my sworn duty to inform you that no apology was necessary. Your mood and energy was fine, and your playing was great and inspiring as always. I’ve never had the G2, but I did have the Zoom A2 and B2 without the expression pedals back in the day. They were both amazing and I don’t know why I sold them. Must have been to fund something else. 😂 I’ve thought a few times how cool it would be for you to have a signature Zoom pedal. I would buy one even if it was only a G2.1u with a special paint job. It really speaks to the build quality that you still have this pedal and work it hard regularly. Happy days man!

Yes! It is great to have people around who haven't swallowed the gear snobbery rubbish. People who understand that it doesn't matter what the name is on the gear, and it doesn't matter what the price was. What matters is how you use the gear to make your music. Zoom gear is just as good as any other brand. Multieffects of any brand are all wonderful timbre toolboxes which are only ever limited by our imagination and willingness to get over ourselves and play with them. And for anyone who wants a couple of examples, there is the well known one with Buckethead using a Zoom pedal, but there is also one recently revealed on the Sonic Talk Wednesday KZbin show that Yoad Nevo uses a Behringer V-Amp and has used it on some No. 1 singles. There's all the proof anyone could need. Brand and price and all the other snobbery just hold everyone back. Keep on keeping on Dave. You are very much appreciated.

Nice pedal! A lot of people hate these older multi-effects pedal, but I love them. My very first pedal I ever bought was a Digitech RP-100 and a Line 6 expression pedal that worked as a volume and wah along with the pedal control for the whammy pedal patch. It allowed me to discover what guitar sounds and tones I liked. Later I got a Digitech RP-150, which didn't have the battery power option of the RP-100, but had way better sounds and had a USB connection along with stereo input/outputs, and it could act like an audio interface as well, even though I already had a Lexicon Alpha for the audio interface. With the USB connection of the RP-150 I could also edit the patches on the PC, and there where extra options for the patches when edited on the PC. Not sure why people hate these so much, and inexpensive pedals in general, if it works for you great, that is all that counts. It really isn't the gear you have, it is how you use it along with your skill and technique of playing the guitar.

I broke my Zoom G2.1 and was pretty sad about it. I bought a used Zoom G1 Four and realized it was even better. Love the sounds and how easy it was to set up compared to the G2.1. I can always add 1 to 5 pedals in the end of my chain fast with it. The looper is nice to have there also, although 30s is quite limiting, so I still sometimes use my Ditto x2 with it, like I did with the G2.1. Recommend to check out the G four if you can't find a old G2.1

Zoom stuff is pretty darn good... I just bought a G1 four just for a spare amp to have some modulation fx in the fx loop without buying more single pedals which would cost way more. Brilliant little fx unit for the price. Sounds as good as my expensive pedals as far as my ear can hear.

Dave has a great guitar playing definitely. And he helped me a lot understanding some stuff about JF and he is a much much much better guitar player than I am ! I bought and tried the G2.1u following Dave and honestly It was mostly pretty bad. I think Dave is emotionally attached to it and he knows how to make it sound great with his awesome skills tho, but regular effects pedals sound way better. The chorus sounded pretty average for example compared to a standard boss chorus IMO. I could be wrong, and I dont pretend to be right, but I think some honesty about a 50-70$ pedal had to be brought up :) I re sold it 2 weeks after buying it and invested in some non multi effects pedals and it sounds really better to my ears

If it won't power up using usb printer or 9v adapter it should work with batteries. The 9v adapter circuit is connected to the usb printer circuit, so if one fails, they both fail. The battery circuit is the independent of usb and 9v adapter. In my case I soldered on a new printer socket, fixed everything.
