It’s great that people are still watching vids, even after passing. My teacher, always tells me that driving is a life long adventure. You are still learning to be a better driver, even after passing! You never stop learning! I still have a few things to work on myself, which include big round bouts, better clutch control, esp. uphill and mostly issues with lane discipline. My current driving instructor has been off due to medical reasons, tried to get another instructor for the interim, couldn’t find one. But decided just to stick with my original instructor, once he is fit and well again. Nice to have a break anyhow and go back in with fresh eyes. Maybe I will book a future mock test challenge with Aman, when I am more test ready! 🙏😎

4:10 Just a small advice, but useful going forward: one should avoid keeping pressure over the brake pedal on a speed bump because the front of the car takes most of the car's weight and gets lowered while braking. Better to brake in advance, release the pedal just before engaging the speed bump and accelerate right after going over it.

During my first test I saw an old lady crossing the road and I stopped cuz I didn't want to run them over, but the assessor marked it as a serious fault cuz I gave way to a pedestrian quite a stupid reason
@leme35032 жыл бұрын
I will never understand how a pedestrian making a mistake causes you to get a serious fault. Yes, you have a hand in avoiding any accident, but if it does happen, whose fault would it have been here?
@ClearviewDriving2 жыл бұрын
Well it’s just silly from the pedestrian but we have to stop as it’s dangerous to continue as the are more vulnerable So the fault would just be the drivers As it doesn’t matter when it comes to insurance
@dianeharrison49752 жыл бұрын
I agree
@fergusgraem36252 жыл бұрын
The pedestrian is making a fault here. But its the drivers responsibility to prevent any accident from happening. Makes sense because when the driver hits a pedestrian with, for example, 10 mph, the driver is 'protected' by the car he is in. But the pedestrian can get seriously hurt. Pedestrians are protected. This is why there are a lot of those fraud videos where people just jump on the hood of a driving car

Great video! With the pedestrian, I've seen many times pedestrians crossing the road without looking, even at traffic lights where the light is green for the cars and cars are going at some speed! I'm just wondering in those situations is it best to stop and give way or to slow down and wait for them to start crossing to stop if they are that close to the kerb?
@ClearviewDriving2 жыл бұрын
Approach with caution incase the pedestrians doesn’t look abs steps out Worst case scenario they step into the road and atleast this way you can brake easily

These days we need awareness 360 degrees, I wish cyclists and motorbikes wouldn't lane filter while cars are moving since our attention is what's ahead primarily.
@jakerockznoodles2 жыл бұрын
That's not a "these days" thing, that's always been the case. Driving is actually much safer now than it was 20 years ago, and the stats involving serious or fatal incidents back that up, and this is likely because people now ARE more 360 aware than they used to be.

@Clarityinlife335 Жыл бұрын
25:13 this would be a serious fault either because at that speed if you have slammed your brakes, that's not safe. You can't judge that the pedestrian is going to cross the road or not. So that's actually not a fault and UK's rules and regulations are very much in favor of pedestrians. But why. Drivers and pedestrians both have got the same 6 senses that they can use.

10:10 - 10:17 foot on clutch all this time. would wear out the clutch diaphragm quickly like this. should have been in neutral gear with one foot on brake and once red light turns green, shift to 1st and start moving. I see that you mention about things like starting off in 2nd gear, driving in wrong gear are wrong as they cause wear and tear of car gears. Please let me know your views on this. I know that this doesnt have to do much with safety of car. However, I can tell one thing which happened with me in here in India few days ago. I got stuck in a traffic jam with people stuffing their cars in one another(that crossroad did not have any traffic police officer/lights at that hour of day, evening time basically). their was one person who stick their car just next to me with the same situation like one foot on clutch and one on brake, and their car in first gear. I dont know how they panicked, may be due to people honking behind them, or their urge to get out of the traffic, but they left their foot immidiately. their car got a jerk and turned off(thats what happens when you immidiately release the clutch in 1st, right), and they hit my door. I thought it was my bad luck getting stuck in traffic with such drivers.but i feel this is important from safety standpoint as well. cheers.
