The trade does it for you in the case that Zion would be happy to play in New Orleans if he got to play with Barrett again. Trading away pieces like Randle, Jrue and AD to get future picks and great young pieces to fit around Zion and Barrett. how'd you come to that conclusion? Ingram is a shooter who can't shoot! 66.2% FT%, 32.9% from 3. That's Mike Dunleavy Jr. His rebound rate of 7.9% is that of a SG. Per possession, Tatum turns the ball over less, steals the ball more, & blocks more shots. He's also less-injury prone, a better individual & team defender, w/ playoff experience. The only thing Ingram does better than Tatum is pass the ball.

He gets both steals and blocks (typical marker of superior athleticism). He's in year 2 and is already a good shooter (84% FT). We've seen him in the playoffs, we know he's not going to shrink in the moment.

Even the Warriors struggled for some years before they evolved into the team that they are today. Surrounding Zion with young talent with high ceilings is a move in the right direction. I don't think Anthony Davis will change his mind about leaving New Orleans after all the events that transpired last season. Also, it will take Zion at least a couple of years before he can make his imprint in the league, so Pelicans must be patient with the rebuild.
