In gwent, both players lose a dot if the round is tied (unless one of the players has a Nilfgaard deck, then that wins the round). So if there is a tie in one of the first two rounds, the match is over. Gwent deck looks considerably better now but you can still take out a few more strength 1 cards. You are right, as long as "Fog-Foltest" is your leader card, you should have fog in the deck. The fog is then a no-brainer to redraw if you get it in the starting hand - otherwise you'll have one less total move in the match.

Guys.. I see most of the comments, and I understand what you say, I really do. But let's not affect Sienna's choices in the game and the way she chooses each path in the missions. No matter how moral or immoral they seem - that's the point of this game - and how it is made - CDPR made it for everyone and to accommodate every outcome - so that each will have their own experience. As loyal witcher fans, let us just watch her gameplay and witness her experience - because that's why we are here right? - and see how she reacts to her choices and their consequences. Happy Witchering Sienna!

I love the Witcher 3 story , I think it’s a fantastic game however, roach sucks so bad. I find myself swearing at roach a lot like I’ll be in the race and Roach will sit there instead of taking off… when that happens immediately my mind goes back to RDR2 where the horses are completely fantastic just fantastic!
@IvanAntunovic-i2g2 ай бұрын
I never understood the hate roach gets, the horse runs perfectly fine, I only had problems with it in the first couple of hours of the game, until I got used to it. what I see people have the most trouble wrapping their head around is the fact WASD keys work based on the direction camera is looking, not where roach is looking, so the camera is looking back with an angle, you hit A expecting to turn roach to his left and he starts going to his right, because A is not turn the horse left, it's turn left of where you're looking at. Or you simply can just hit W and it'll turn on it's own and go where the camera is pointing, it's that simple, doesn't get stuck, doesn't do weird left-right moves

I'm catching up on your vids and as a seasoned HOF W3 gwent player I MUST give you some advice. Sorry for the text wall but I want to help if I can! Love the vids btw! Take some time and read the special abilities. Consider their use cases. A card with a higher number value may be less useful to play given the situation. My general strategy is to consider round 1 as a throwaway round. Use it to gather more cards for yourself and have your opponent use their cards. At the start, count the number of medics in your hand (heart with a + symbol) and don't use them yet. These can give you points like normal but also let you pick a card from your discard pile, so the # of them you have is how many non-medic cards you can definitely play in round 1 (since your medics can be used to get them back in later rounds). You can of course play more cards in round 1, but its as if you still have all your cards when you enter round 2. Regular spy cards played by your opponent can also become yours, either in later rounds by using a medic and picking it from your discard, or in the same round if you use a decoy. Decoys also effectively make another medic, so save them for as long as you can. When you use round 1 as a throwaway, it allows you to setup strategy in this way. If you have any spies in your hand, play them early and in DESCENDING order, meaning most points first (they get as high as 9 points). It feels wrong, but hear me out. If your opponent has a decoy, they'll want that spy to use and gain cards for themselves. As soon as you use the spy they will spend their decoy, which is now gone for good, only to pick up and use that spy against you. Sure they get 2 cards as well, but they give you the most points! Also, DO NOT sleep on morale boost cards (big + symbol, usually low number value). They add 1 to all regular units in their row and a lot of them are only worth 1 themselves. BUT if that 8 catapult you have is paired with another catapult, they double each other into 16s. A morale boost card is only 1 but makes each catapult a 9, each now doubling to 18 (+2). You can then use a commander's horn and double the whole row, turning the morale boost to 2, and the catapults to 36 each! So pretty easily you can see the added value from that measly morale boost card - it's original 1 point is actually worth 6 points in this scenario. I have many more tips I can give but it really starts to depend on the deck you develop and your own sensibilities. At any rate, you've already improved at gwent since you started and better cards will help you develop even further. Great vids, keep it up!

Okay, a lot of the comments have mentioned the botchling. The more ideal outcome is not killing it, but rest assured this has no lasting impact on the rest of the story or other quests. The Baron is a complex character, full of contradictions. He is a violent drunk, though likely a result of fighting in wars. He drove his wife and daughter away, but he is filled with deep regret and wants them back. He gives refuge to Ciri and Gretka. He even takes Gretka in because he knew it would be pointless to send her back to her family. He caused his wife to miscarry. Then he wanted to lift the curse, and was willing to pick up the botchling even though it could rip his throat out. None of the good deeds erase the bad ones, and players are free to feel what they want about the Baron. As always, I'd say the only "correct" reaction, is a genuine one. :) 8:01 - With that version of Foltest as Leader, ALWAYS pick to redraw Impenetrable Fog (since you could just use the Leader Ability to get it when you need it). GG on winning the game! You played well, and you got a new card! 24:40 - Geralt won't draw his sword automatically if it's a non-lethal brawl. Just don't manually draw your sword if your opponents are fighting you with their fists. But if they're armed, it's okay to hack away. :)
@jiansonz2 ай бұрын
"He caused his wife to miscarry." Yes, that's what the Baron and a new player think. But it's not entirely correct - or, there is at least more to it.

I think it's worth redoing the quest to save the botchling, as it leads to a very moving scene that I really think you would want to see. You're meant to stay close to the Baron and use axii to calm the child whenever she starts getting agitated. Of course it's up to you, but it all plays out differently if you lift the curse so it wouldn't be like playing the same thing over again. Reading through the comments I see a lot of people are being really harsh on you and I just want to say you have nothing to feel bad about. I'm really enjoying your playthrough. Also you should probably be prepared to have people leaving very opinionated comments when it comes to the Baron's quest lol. It's impossible to get a satisfying ending, especially since it's your first playthrough and a lot of things can be overwhelming and easy to miss. You don't have to redo the quest unless you want to.
