Great initiative Pierre. I wish your podcast to grow. Saleh, i love the way you think and how you express your ideas. While i'm a federalist at heart i agree with you that in the absence of consensus on the neutrality of Lebanon and on the style of the economic system, a federation is technically impossible. I raise my hat to your daring 'thought exercise' of a temporary partition of the country until hezb followers see the light. Unfortunately federalism is so extremely divisive that the mere serious mention of it would trigger a civil war, so what about partition, neutrality or the economic system. I am very pessimistic. Like so many of my friends i'm happy (and terribly sad at the same time) that my children were able to build their life outside lebanon, ... Which i consider doomed

في حقيقه اكيده تحاولون ان تتجاهلونها فحواها ان الصهاينه اتخذوا قرار اشتياح لبنان قبل ٧ أكتوبر بتصريحات قادتهم وبعد ان بدء طوفان الأقصى صرحوا ان لبنان بعد ان تنتهي غزه . لو كان فيكم عقل ماكان توجهون الاتهام للمقاومه وتتهمونها بافتعال الحرب ب٨ اكتوبر فقط لمساندة غزه لو لا سامح الله انتصر العدو الإسرائيلي في غزه لكان اصبح اقوى بعشرات المرات وكان قد اشتاح لبنان وعمل فيها كما عمل في غزه ولكن ردع المقاومه في ٨ أكتوبر جعلته اضعف بمئات المرات من ان ينتهي من غزه ويفكر بالاعتداء على لبنان هذه الحنكه السياسيه والعسكريه لاتفهمونها انتم المهجنين

I listened..... I searched.... It occurs all the Data he gives is either Wrong or very twisted Example : 1) Ranking of Lebanon in 2008 was 102 and not 73 2) There is no indication or what so ever anywhere that Lebanon had the Top 5 GDP Per Capita in the 50' & 60' Conclusion, it looks like Saleh, whom I hear for the first time, repeats what others whisper in his ears. Its Disappointing

الدكتور صالح كلامه مشوق ومهم وصريح بس احياناً بيحكي كانه بيلقي محاضرة امام دكاترة واشخاص متعمقين باللغة الإنجليزية . هو حديثه لحتى الكل يفهم عليه وينصت لكل كلمة بيقولها بس مش كل المتابعين بيعرفوا انجليزي خصوصاً المصطلحات العلمية السياسية وغيرها ، فياريت ما يدس بعض المصطلحات باللغة الإنجليزية وكذلك مقدم البرنامج. صحيح العلم شي كتير مهم بس متل ما لازم نكون مثقفين ونفهم لغة اجنبية كمان على الأجنبي كتير مهم يكون مثقف ويفهم اللغة العربية متلنا متله

الذين يهاجمون شخص والد الضيف لانه مسؤال سابق وصدر بحقه مذكرة استدعاء . وقعو في عدد كبير من المغالطات المنطقية والعلمية والدينية حسب كل الاديان . . بما ان صالح المشنوق لم يعفي اي فريق سياسي من المسؤولية في عهد او توقيت زمني . النقاش في نزاهة والدة فارغة من المطمون اذا استخدمت ذيعة لإبطال صحة كل ما يقول لو فرضنا صحة عدم نزاهة والده اثناء شغله لمنصبه. هل هذا يعتبر جواب على النقاش العلمي والفكري الذي قام بتقديمه في هذه المناقشة بصفته مواطن واكاديمي وناشط سياسي . طريقة تفكير كهذه يمكن ان تهدم مشرع اقتصادي صغير مثلا افتتاح ميني ماركة . ويمكن ان تهدم حلف شبيه بحلف الناتو لو تعامل الناس بهذه المغالطة ...

You made some good points but for separation you need a big country Lebanon is a very small country, ineffective in regional politics, I believe you need to connect with people that have the same vision in the Levantine countries which does not exist at the one by due to militias in Lebanon and Syria and until the peace process starts again all of these models are illusionary models
