Regarding the family tree, Sofia says Johnny is her mom's cousin, so it was Carmine who married a Viti

in the comics, Carmine Falcone had a sister, Carla, who married some Viti fella. Carla and Johnny from the show are first cousins to Sophia and Alberto. In the comics (Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Catwoman: When in Rome), we get to meet Carla the mother, not the daughter. (Also, hippos can't float; they actually hold their breath for incredible lengths of time while slowly sinking with style, afterwards, they simply walk out of the river.) I hope this helps.

It's interesting how the show is sort of showing that crime leads to more crime. Like Sophia was relatively a good person before her criminal father and family sent her to Arkham and turned her into a monster. Vic was a good kid but the actions of Riddler killed his family and now he's a crook in training.

They are definitely siblings. I don't know why ppl keep thinking they were married. A perfect example is the last scene. No way in hell would an ex be at the same dinner table w her new man right next to her. They are just Sophia's cousins. It even said that in their affidavits. The Hatter suddenly starts pulling ahead in the game after Wonderland Gang throws their hat in the ring during the episode Tophat, but they basically decide to align themselves with Sofia's side of the gang war anyway since Alberto really knew how to party. Some of the underlings in Wonderland Gang miss Alberto, but they're willing to support Sofia

I like that they don’t talk about Batman, one thing I liked a lot about Batman Begins is how Batman is like an urban legend at first. Theoretically he would’ve been in the public eye after saving Bella Real and all those Gothamites in the stadium but it makes sense that the Riddler’s attacks would dominate the news more than apocryphal stories about a dude dressed like a bat

There is a mirror quality to this show. Vic feels like a mirror Jesse Pinkman. He was not an upper mid class white kid who made a series of bad choices that cost him his family. And this feels like a mirror to the Marvel Netflix shows. Set in thr aftermath of the Avengers, early on, there were refences made though they did fade over time. I feel like this will make reference to Batman by the end. May not see him, but I think we will see his presence.

I dont agree with the "late night party" newspaper line being in reference to Bruce Wayne. Yea that's who he is in most depictions, but this Bruce Wayne doesn't party, act like a playboy philanthropist, etc. He spends all night out as Batman& all day in the manor by himself (minus Alfred), focused on Batman things. Even in the basically 1 scene Bruce is outside as Bruce during the wake, he trys to keep to himself& not draw attention. As soon as the guy showed up in the car with the bomb, he left& returned as Batman. This Bruce hasnt hit that playboy Era yet, we all need to remember, this is still technically only Year 2 Batman

Riddlers in jail and as far as we know, there’s nothing else going on in Gotham that would distract Batman from keeping a close eye on the falcons and penguin. I don't need constant Batman glazing, but there's a happy medium between that and having one garbled mention in the first few minutes of the show. Hell, just one other mention of "should we be worrying about the Bat?" from a hench during the Maroni set-up with the drops would've been enough. It feels more like a pointed refusal to acknowledge him at this point rather than a lack of a natural reference. The urban legend of Gotham's Bat-Man was just confirmed to be true a few weeks ago. It's weirder that someone _hasn't_ talked about it.

I'm sorry but how is saying having batman not mentioned but Riddler is make any sense? I get the flooding is a big part of the plot for certain characters and I dont need him to physically show up... but how can you mention riddler so many times and not Batman when there whole conflict is connected... yes it is a big city but we have seen throughout the show people all over the city have mentioned the riddler multiple times but not mentioning the batman where he was the one who basically stopped Riddler... where riddler was making viral videos that was constantly played on the news where he was taunting batman... it just feels empty without the slightest mention... plus even Oz, who has mentioned Riddler in the show... but hasnt not mentioned the fact he has met Batman face to face or the fact batman was the one who helped the police take down Falcone...

I think Victor is dying. Sorry. They made Sofia too likeable. People sympathize with her more than Oz now, but he is the protagonist. The only way they get the audience on his side again is for her to kill Vic. Penguin wins but at a steep cost because he has a soft spot for Victor.

I have a fantasy that Sofia does become the main boss of the mafia world, then becomes a leader of the court of owls in Gotham. Penguin gets rejected from the mob world but learns through Victor how to be a mentor/cult leader to those like Victor retaking the full name Cobblepot and embracing the moniker of Penguin (almost like Gotham royalty). And Victor gets captured and turned by Batman to become one of many informants in the Gotham underworld who feed information to Batman. Gordon should have a presence in this part of the world if Batman isn't there, showing why he is motivated to embrace him so much.

It’s a regular show … Are we forgetting that MARVEL STUDIOS (one of the most spectacular brands with the most spectacular and interesting , down to earth characters ) are producing lackluster content that has ALREADY proven to hurt them in the box office ???? Agatha is not impressive and that’s that’s , yea it can have its little run for the month of October but mark my words , these lackluster side character shows will hurt the box office and we won’t get anything risky or cool or experimental anymore .
