You had me scratching my head there... Heather's Meadow? It was Hannah's meadow, named in honour of Hannah Hauxwell (1926-2018) who had farmed that smallholding since 1961 surviving on about £250 per year without electricity or running water. Several TV documentaries were made about her and she found deserved fame in later life. I met her in 1976 whilst walking the PW 'the wrong way' She was incredibly humble and couldnt understand why anyone would want to walk from Scotland to Derbyshire. Amazing lady - she farmed that land organically, decades before it was popular. In her case it was from necessity.
