Indeed! When I watch David play and teach, my reaction is always the same: wow, that's actually really easy. I can do that. And while the execution and coordination can in fact take a little time, when you take his advice, you find that in the end you actually CAN do this!

Dagnabit. I like my pick. I suck with a pick, but persistence is the most uncommon human virtue. Sadly, at my age, I might just have to admit that self-accompaniment is in the cards, and this finger style craziness might just be worth looking into.

I play in Open D and G. How would I go about transferring this lesson to an open tuning? The confusion stems from the note you are playing will be in different places in Open tunings. Cheers from Ottawa, Canada.
