Been collecting 556 AK's for years. I prefer rock n lock mags but this is a great transitional gun to crossover with. The Beryl and Zastava m90 are great examples of current production AKk's 👌.

Thanks for commenting. The Zastava M90's are pretty cool indeed. If I get an AK in 7.62x39 I'll probably pick up an M90 as well. Right now all my gear is set up for AR platform rifles.

It's fun to shoot. I've been running some drills with it the last couple days on steel.

Didn't know that Offered that. I Purchased me a Zastava M90 after a lot of Considering. AKs ( and I've run the Hell out of them) are Superior to ARs in Reliability hands down. I still have my M4 but she's about to be retired. Good Video/Information Brother.

Right now they have two models out. One 16" whith a black stock set, and a 13.7" with a rail. I'll be getting the 13.7 next. There will be another video out because I just finished rebuilding it today with some trigger work and night sights.

Yeah, The time for AK's was about 15 years ago. Thats why I love what Palmetto is doing with these.

I like the 762x51 (.308) AK. I have an Izhmash Saiga MKK-106. Its freakin awesome! Good ammo, available and so much fun to shoot! Short barrel with that caliber.. Its beast :D

Thanks for sharing - wonder if they offer 7.62 X 51 (NATO) or M80 US as a chambering option - will have to check

I don't think they do. IWI makes their new Galil's in .308, we have a couple at work.

I like the ak and sks but I hate being right handed I have to reach under to cock them. I also hate the safty on the ak. The saftey is not nearly as convenient on the ak as the ar. That being said there is no way I would part with my ak or sks's
@BecomingDangerous011 ай бұрын
It's never on safe if I am holding it at my home range. I was raised with trigger disciplin literally beaten into me. This particular model does have a modified safety extension that I can work with my thumb, however it is not as simple as an AR safety.

I saw some 7.62 for 9.99 a box at Bi-mart the other day.
@BecomingDangerous011 ай бұрын
Enjoy it while it's available. If it was russian it was pre ban stock that they had lying in a warehouse somewhere. There is no more Russian stuff coming in. The only cheap ammo that I have been seeing at the distributers is romanian spam cans. Fiochi is making some decen't brass stuff, but it is priced much higher. Hopefully when Palmetto gets their ammo up and running it won't be priced too bad.
@wdglockandroll11 ай бұрын
@@BecomingDangerous0 Never owned an ak before. Did have the peasant version in the sks though. Lol Remember when you could buy the sks for 99 bucks. I miss those days. Stay safe out there.
@BecomingDangerous011 ай бұрын
@@wdglockandroll AK's are fun to shoot, this one is more fun because of the muzzle break. It is rediculously loud with no recoil.
@saurelius521710 ай бұрын
@@BecomingDangerous0 For now. That Russian ban is temporary and I don't care what anyone says. Also, the difference between 5.56 and 7.62x39 right now in terms of price is literally 1 cent difference, at least going by 62gr 5.56. Plus, the amount of countries that still use 7.62x39 is quite high. The only caliber that has really suffered is 5.45x39. At some point the Ukraine will be putting at ammo from their own factories to, once they are restored.
@BecomingDangerous010 ай бұрын
@@saurelius5217 You don't care what anybody says, so why waste your time and comment. If your butt is that sore maybe you should switch to a softer brand of toilet paper.
