@@ChronometerCheck I usually go on spurts of wearing one for a few weeks to a month then rotate lol, I don’t wear my Seiko SNXS73 too much during the winter because it’s really cold where I live, and it makes it run fast.

Tbh you could own just one watch that does everything. Like an entry level grand seiko. Affordable, reliable and versatile.

I have a very odd ball collection currently. My watches include 1. Tissot PRX Chronograph: After I got the PRX (Quartz Model) I really wanted the chronograph because I really liked it. I have 6.5 inch wrists and this watch is definitely pushing it, but I still think it looks good. I definitely can’t go any bigger than this though. 2. Tissot PRX Quartz: This is a great everyday watch. 3. Gucci Grip: You don’t even need to say anything, I know I’m already being judged. I got this watch on preowned for a pretty good price. The only wear on the watch was a small scratch on the face, and a another scratch on the back case. Only real complaint is that the bracelet is really weird. It uses a butterfly clasp without a clasp release. I don’t know how to explain it, but when I first got it, the clasp was really tight and it was hard to get off. 4. Vaer D5: I got this watch preowned and it’s my only diver, and it’s a really awesome watch. 5. Timex Expedition Scout: I got this on Amazon for 44 dollars. It’s a great field style watch, and is my go to beater watch. 6. Casio A100WEPC-1B (Pac-Man): I’m a huge fan of Pac-Man so I had to pick this watch up. My only complaint is that the display is hard to stay in dark lighting, and the display light is really not that good. 7. Fossil X Pokémon Gengar: I am fully aware that fossil isn’t the best brand. However Gengar is my favorite Pokémon so I had to pick this watch up. It looks really unique and used a decent automatic movement (I have not been able to find the specifications for the exact movement). It also came with 3 straps which was pretty cool. 8. Timex Legacy Date 41mm: Finally the most recent edition to my collection is this watch. I actually got it because I watched your video on it. It was on sale a couple weeks ago for 30% off which brought the price down to a more reasonable place. I wanted this watch as a more professional looking beater watch. I really like this watch so far, and it looks really good. Anyways my biggest problem witch watches right now is that I’m too scared to wear my nice watches. However I’ve slowly been getting over this. I just get so freaked out that I’m going to damage my nicer watches when I wear them.

I think 6 is the right amount because they are enough to have diversity but not too many do that you leave some without any wrist time

I’m 16 and I have 7 watches I got 2 g shocks (my daily’s) Apple Watch SE ( idk if it’s classed as a watch but yea, my school watch) Citizen yachtmaster (my fancier school watch) Casio edifice (another school watch) Tissot visodate automatic( dress watch) Dreyfus and co 1986 collection(dress watch) A rotary which looks like a cartier santos

I have a watch winder that has four rotating positions and a row of pillows on the bottom that are stationary. I have six watches... 5 automatic and one G-shock. The G-shock obviously stays on a stationary pillow. That leaves 4 automatics on the winder with one on my wrist at all times. I almost never wear the G-shock and mainly use it to set the time on the automatic watches. Don't get me wrong, I like it and appreciate that it is an engineering marvel, with a very real history but I seem to always grab something else to wear. As an aside, (I fibbed a little bit)... I do also have a 1970 Bulova Accutron Spaceview (cushion case) that belonged to my dad, but currently isn't running and is kept in a drawer, so I didn't count that one. 😉

I think 3 will be the magic number for me. I have one Skagen which I know isn’t an enthusiast choice but I saw it on Amazon and loved how it looked so I got it. I wear it every day and it’s my beater. The second watch I will be getting is the Orient Panda Chronograph and then my final one will be an Omega 🙏.

Technically the wristwatch is today more or less superfluous. But it still offers the advantage of having the time reading available on the wrist without the need of picking up the smartphone from the pocket. And in some cases it's not possible or suitable to pick up the phone. Yes, a nice wristwatch is a luxuary item contributing to a more professionell look. AND: instead of thinking that wristwatch is superfluous because of the smartphone you can reason this way: you actually have the advantage to always adjust your time on the watch with the smartphone. Summary: wristwatch still offers the use and advantage as it always have had.

I hate the "you have a phone that tells time so you don't need a watch" sentiment. Uf that logic was true then wrist watches would have never cought on since you already have a pocket watch in your pocket that tells time. Why do you need one on your wrist?

I started collecting in Jan. I have 5 right now. But the next 2. Are going to be quite expensive. So I’m saving up! I think 7. Is a good number. After that it’s one in one out so there’s not watches just sitting in a box. So wasteful imo.
