Very nice. Its all about the hunt. Harvested my pesonal best Missouri deer this year at 61 yrs. Not a monster, but a respectable near perfect 10 with a sticker on rs. Congrats on a real beauty Drake !

What regulation choices does Skip think needs to be made? I live in Upper Michigan, 3+ year old bucks are extremely rare.

Gun season needs to move 10-14 days. Very simple!!!!!! The second wish id have… 1 buck. Just like: MN, IN, OH. MI has so many hunters- no reason it’s 2 bucks. 1 buck & then doe quota that is on county by county basis. Each hunter could have plenty for freezer & finally MI getting some age structure comparable with other states in Midwest.

@@Iowa_Whitetail yeah, this year we have 26 straight days of gun hunting. (16 rifle & 10 muzzleloader) It is ridiculous, and our deer herd is already decimated.

@@daviddykowskifish there’s so many guys just like u - sick of it being ruined. That group has gotten much larger. There’s another group: 1/3rd of MI hunters that QUIT in last 25 years. Things have to change. They will at the rate the hunters are quitting. The DNR knows it’s a broken system. Things will change (dnr & politicians are panicked & dont know what to do but know u can’t go on like this). So- new ideas will be implemented by definition. I hope it’s the good ideas that win. Mark my words- revolution is brewing & the DNR & politicians are scrambling to rescue this sunken ship. Few more years and u be at 50% hunters quit… cause MI sucks!!!! They know this can’t continue like this!!!!!!!! So do more & more hunters every day!!!

I'm convinced some deer are made to be harvested by a certain individual. In this case, no one else but Drake was going to kill that buck. There's some big bucks in Michigan nothing like iowa and your right limit 1 buck per year don't have rifle season during the rut and youth season before the rut couple thoughts ive had.

Down south you never see deer hanging out in fields like that, especially older mature bucks. We see a lot of deer but the majority of the time it’s brief and you better be on your toes if you gel a glimpse of a big buck because you probly will never see them again. They are like ghost’s.
