Don't know Frankie , but he has a great demeanor and personality ..... one my favorite builds ........ owned a 1980 Buick Regal Ltd ..... V-8 301 Pontiac engine car ...... and I bought it for $1500.00 in 1983 ..... had dreams for it , to make it into a sleeper and keep it , just the way it looked off the assembly line ...... two-tone grey , the hood / roof and trunk lid slate grey and the bottom half light/medium grey ..... and the pinstripe package , factory chrome rally rims , 4 headlight front header clip...... had a GF we were in the plans to get married .... that did not last , then I was poor from her spending .... my dream never happened .... Cheers from Innisfil , Ontario ..... hour north of Toronto ....

@@turboking3397 it wasn’t the exact same generation of motor no, but it most certainly was a 3800. The Buick 3800 is any Buick 3.8 v6. There’s a bunch of different generations of them… the grand national had the lc2 variant, still very much a version of the 3800 Buick v6 lol

I am the same way. Don’t get me wrong its a dream build and a great Regal or G-body... However, the only thing that mad GNs,T- Types, Turbo T-s, & the GNXs legendary were the intercooled turbo 3.8 LC2 V6s... That's what made them different. Its not really a Turbo Buick anymore without that base. Their whole following was based off the little V6 that could destroy the V8 guys.

The Grand National is the one car that you never should do an engine swap on. He's talking about getting his swap motor into the 10's. A stock Grand National easily can get into the 11's with just bolt on adds. Not many street cars will beat a built Grand National motor including his.
