I bought this chair based on your recommendation in the Healthy Hips program (which I am loving by the way). Actually, my employer paid for it, so that was great, although I would have probably bought it anyway. I have been sitting in it for about a week now. It definitely takes some getting. used to, but I am really appreciating the movement it allows (and even encourages) while sitting at my desk. Much less pressure on hamstrings, and being able to move around helps open up groins and activates outer hip muscles. It's definitely the case that one can get tired or start to feel sore after long periods, but that does seem like a good thing because it reminds me to get up and move around, or do one of my Health Hips workouts! Will let you know if anything changes down the road, but I think I'll get a second one for my other office.

I agree with other commenters: nice looking chair, but out of my price range. I've tried many different chairs, including "ergonomic" ones, but most are not comfortable and/or too pricey. The problem is, these types of chairs are not available locally to try out, so you're buying something based only on looks, with no idea whether it will work for you. I happen to sit very straight without back support from many years as a cellist (for those who don't know, cellists have to sit far forward in the chair because the cello would hit the chair seat otherwise), so I still sit this way in my computer chair. I do like to lean back from time to time when taking a break, but mostly I'm upright (lol!) all day long. The problem I have is with the chair cutting off leg circulation. I have a footstool that is chair-height, so I can extend my legs fully under my desk, but it's not the easiest to get in and out of. I'm thinking of maybe trying one of the saddle chairs in a more budget price range, before investing in something more expensive. (Note: I tried the Autonomous Avo chair, which was $450, and ended up sending it back because it wasn't comfortable. So I'm leery of dropping a lot of bucks on something that I might once again have to go through the hassle of trying to disassemble and return. But I do appreciate the review! It's something to keep in mind.

I've had a QoR360 for about a year. I like it, but I never worked my way up to using it for more than half of my workday. I swap it out with a regular office chair. My favorite thing to do with it is wag my tail. I push my butt back, creating space around my tailbone, and rapidly shift my weight from one leg to the other. My tail bone likes it, my hips get to swing, and my belly and thigh muscles get a little bit of a workout. The chair rolls side to side and I get more muscle engagement stopping it and swinging it back in the other direction. I'd enjoy a video with other fun little exercises to do in the QoR360.

Thank you, this was very interesting - it is sadly way out of my price range for now but I will keep it in mind, I have recently swapped to using a physioball which has similar benefits and is fun to bounce about on when annoyed at a difficult email :) My one concern about the Qor 360 is that it has quite a small seat and that the edges seem to curve upwards - I have classic English pearshape and have terrible trouble with moulded seats which just don't allow for my ample behind, I do need to lose some weight and I will but this doesn't solve the issue for people who may be on a weightloss journey and really trying to do their best, it can take 12 months to lose all the weight and keep it off and in the mean time we have to struggle. All the ads for the Qor360 seem to focus on fit and slim men and women with the focus on men who have a narrower pelvis. Is it really necessary to have the moulding? It seems that it is supportive only to people with perfectly average figures. My partner who is tall and slim and a professional musician and who does suffer from sciatica from time to time would definitely benefit from one in the studio though for his keys rig and drumkit, it is also light enough to take on tour - so - maybe I will think about it for a birthday gift for him instead :)

"Classic English pearshape," made me giggle. I have the ample, stocky Welsh shape just like my father and his father before him. Broad with thick thighs including 50" hips, so I agree with you on moulded seating. Those pinch my outer thighs terribly. I need to lose about 70 pounds, and am on my way with a change of diet right now.

I was in a Zoom meeting today for the first time since I went back to get my Masters (I've been working asynchronously and haven't had to have "meetings". It really hit me just how much you're expected to be static in front of your computer! I tried to stand but I felt that I looked "unprofessional" when I moved around the way I normally would at my standing desk, and when I sat down I felt my hips get very stiff. It was a long meeting, and I know I've got longer ones coming. I can't wait to get out of the online classroom and back to teaching in a physical classroom. There's no exercise program or physical health regime better than being on your feet all day keeping elementary school kids engaged in their work.

How is sitting on this chair different than sitting on a large exercise ball? I've tried them and kneeling stools and other seats similar to the Qor360, and what I've found for myself is my posture doesn't stay upright if I'm in the chair working at my computer for any length of time. After awhile I get tired of attempting to maintain good posture, that my backs slumps and I don't realize it. So while these types of chairs do promote active sitting; like your wife, I become tired after sitting in them for long periods. I think what I like most about these active chairs is the relief on the hamstring. So again if someone can answer how this chair is different than sitting on an exercise ball, I would appreciate it. Also is there an answer for problematic car seats?

I think you can't sit in "good" posture for hours, no matter what chair or ball or anything you sit on. You get tired, it's just simply that. Even this review guy said it but for crying out loud if I have to take a break every time I get tired then there would be really little work done. Maybe he (as a youtuber) can afford that but I can't. In my unprofessional opinion, based on what videos I saw and what articles I read, you can either quit your sitting job or get some zero gravity chair-contraption where you are in a more laying than sitting-position because in that way your spine won't be loaded. Sadly these types of chairs cost a fortune, I mean really a fortune ...

"I could say: this tool totally sucks. But I'm not going to" 😂 - joke aside, good review. Especially appreciate it for pointing out that you end up being tired or uncomfortable after a while on purpose! People expect a sitting solution which they can use 8 hours in a row while in truth the only healthy way to do office work is to changing position and moving and sometimes getting up. I think if you are getting tired in this chair in very short time that is a sign you should do more core exercises...

Ergonomics! I'm 5 feet tall. For my entire working life I bought my own office chairs and my own desk or table to work at, because all of the "normal" office furniture forces my head down toward my chest, leaves my feet dangling and me sliding forward off the chairs, and forces me to use a keyboard with my hands and wrists raised up from the elbow to the too-high desk top and then my wrists forced down and forward to reach the keyboard. As a safety professional, I was constantly working to improve the ergonomic positions of people operating machinery in factories so that 6 foot men and 5 foot 3 women could work at the same station without getting hurt. The one-size-fits-all "ergonomic" workstations in American offices are just a bad joke that results in constant injuries from repetitive movements at strained angles. Like carpal tunnel syndrome, De Quervain's syndrome and Tech Neck from constantly looking up at a computer screen sitting too high. Then the fixes sold for these problems are once again one-size-fits-all "ergonomic" keyboards, computer mice, etc. etc. Really it's nothing but lip service.

My old chair is perfect. It leans back easily, no upholstery, etc., LOL, there are arms but they aren't too high, and there is plenty of room in the seat. It got a little wobbly and since I am 82, I thought maybe I should have a better more solid chair. I bought the new one from the same company, the mesh type like my old chair were out of my price range, but the upholstery type wasn't. Well guess what. I have to brace my feet and push to lean back, not relaxing, the arms are too high and in the way and the seat is too short, I have kind of long legs. Weirdly the back is high, but the seat is short. jeez Grumble, grumble, Well, after I assembled the new chair, then it occurred to me that I could probably fix the old chair. The hydraulics had given up so it wouldn't stay up high, like for a tall person. I was able to find a replaecment bolt for the missing one, end of wobble. Well, there is a little kit you can buy for less than ten dollars that will fix the hydraulic problem. The seat will always be at the top, but if you don't mind that, and I don't, it is perfect. YAY!! I kept the new one in case the old one really does break down. For various reasons when I am working I like my feet up high, and my keyboard on my lap, so all of the features I mentioned above are important. I can't do this in the new chair. The keyboard doesn't fit between the arms, jeez. more grumbling. LOL My tip, don't buy sight unseen or untested on your body.
